how to assign slave to food production

hi

 

I have salves and they all wear shock collars.

when I try to assign them to food the game does not register and make the slaves GO to the spot instead of

assigning the food plant  to the slave.

 

Has anyone come across this? does anyone have a solution?

You have to assign the slave as a settler in the settlement before you can assign them to do something like farming.  If the slave was created using the Just Business mod, talk to the slave and tell them to Go Home.  Send them to the settlement where you want them to work.  Once they arrive, assign them to work like you would any other settler.

Depending on the escape setting you want to assign your slaves first to a pillory  furniture for a few days to raise submission so they dont escape (under recource other catergory).

Or just change the setting in the mod so that slaves cannot escape.  Trust me, it is way less annoying.  They are difficult to capture, often die when you try to recapture them, and then the quest doesn't end and just hangs up in your Pip Boy Quest list forever.
