I made an NPC replacer, but the NPC's lips won't move... what did I do wrong?

Recommended Posts

So I made an NPC replacer by...

creating my character in racemenu,

exporting the head.nif,

exporting the .npc file

importing the .npc file in CK

exporting the NPC's facegen

merging the racemenu head.nif with the facegen .nif (first converting to LE and back to SE with nif optimizer)

and applying an SMP wig to the nakedbodyskin armature with SSEEdit

It worked, and the character looks great, but their mouth doesn't move when they talk now...

Did I miss a step somewhere? Any help would be appreciated.

I got it. Thanks for responding. It was indeed an issue with the mesh, but not due to overwriting.

I repeated the entire process, but this time I when I used .nif optimizer I made sure to tick ONLY the "process headparts" box (i.e., I unticked all the other boxes) and that did the trick.
