Cozy Posted March 17, 2013 Posted March 17, 2013 http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/33226 Decided to share this with the community since... well it's a massive help. I'm sure most of us have had showracemenu hic-up, even freeze, or CTD on us due to all the beauty mods and such we use. Well this little plug-in for the Skyrim Script Extender fixes that problem with a vengeance. You can have all the hair packs, eye packs, and beautification mods you want type in "showracemenu" in the middle of a crowded city, and in a snap it'll load up, no fuss, no muss! Please Note: This isn't a traditional esp, in fact it's not an esp at all, and it requires that you have the Skyrim Script Extender SKSE installed. Also to be on the safe side I would advise using the the newest version of SKSE, which can be found here, http://skse.silverlock.org/. To install merely make sure the plugin goes into the SKSE folder in your data folder. Data\SKSE\Plugins\ Grant you the set up of the 7z. has it I believe so all you need to do is copy the SKSE folder in the 7z to your Data folder. Very simple, and immensely useful!

Krissy Posted March 20, 2013 Posted March 20, 2013 is anyone else finding the latest version (made to work with Skyrim 1.9.32.0.8) doesn't actually work? I get the same freezes like I did before.

There is a new version out that supports the latest skse and skyrim update.http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/33526 Previous versions will make the game CTD.

I have no idea what the problem is. I've dropped it in the SKSE\Plugins folder, just like the last version except it does the same freeze on showracemenu as if I weren't using it at all.

That is very strange indeed. So maybe you need to look at your mods loaded. Most of the time grouping them by some order helps a bit. More likely your skyrim is'nt as up to date as one might think. if you could you should check the TES V.exe file in your Skyrim folder (Steam\steamapps\Skyrim\ or so). if you flaot your mous above it it'll reveal the version your using. Then check this to the verions of precachekiller you're using. maybe download an other version. Same time SKSE might be acting up. Either way, DLing the latest version for skyrim 1.9.32 did the trick for me. hope you can find yours.
Krissy Posted March 23, 2013 Posted March 23, 2013 Thanks! You know what got it to work? Opening up the "Data Files" manager when you hit play game on steam, and closing it (as if I was activating a newly installed mod). Which is really strange as the .dll you use for this precache killer isn't a mod, so I don't understand why that would have any effect on it?!? Anyway, I know how to make it work for new versions if they get released. Back to adjusting my hair every couple of minutes!
