Social relationships - The aspect of sex that is missing

Social addons - I highly believe that Sexbound is missing the social aspect of sex, wich can be easier to code then the graphical aspect. And, given the mod's alredy great graphical content, i think it would beneffits more from this social approach on next updates. There are many patreon adult games that haven't good graphics, but are supported because of the social aspect created by an good story.

 

Suggestion 1 : Sex-quests. Quests can be used to create a porn-roleplay experience, with all kind of non-visual fetiches, so no extra animation would be required, only existent ones.

 

Ex : Some random npc has a question mark on it, i clicked and in the quest description would be tagged all fetiches used in this quest, in this case, could be  "cheating" and "incest", i choose to accept if i have interessed in those fetiches. Then i bang a cheating wife and her daughter "at the same time". Those types of fetiches are interly made by dialogs, so would be cool to have specific dialogs to create the atmosphere, during, before, and after the act. I supose that would be an easy addon to the game with high efficiency, because it would apply to every normal npc, giving to the player a huge content.

 

  • Suggestion 1.2 : Adding a loop dialog and action to every npc involved in an quest, when the sex-quest is complete and over.

 

Ex : After banging the mother and her daughter and finishing the quest, the subtle end of the relationship would be weird, (tho is a common thing in starbound),  so a clever and effortless way to prevent that could be making every member of the quests having an fixed loop-reaction with specific dialogs. So, every time the player talked to the mother/daughter they would, for ex, offer to have sex with the same smart dialogs, maded to fit the loop without incoherence.

 

  • Suggestion 1.3 : Coherence to the past sex-quests. Limiting the  avaliable sex-quests that  an npc can start based on the sex-quests it started before.


Ex : After finishing the sex-quest, wouldn't make sense if the mother starts an random sex-quest where she isn't one. So to prevent that break of fantasy, at every completed sex-quest, some other sex quests might be removed from that npc avaliable quests database. So she can only start sex-quest with coherence to the past sex-quest.

 

  • Suggestion 1.4 : An relationship system of titles, where the player can be officially friend,enemy, married, father, etc, to an specific npc. That would improve the whole suggestion 1 experience.

 

  • Suggestion 1.5 : Story arcs for npcs. Random changes on the interacted npcs, and new sex-quests avaliable.

 

Ex : Diferent from side sex-quests (suggestion 1.3), could also be story-line sex-quests. After 3 side sex-quests, an story quest would be prompted. Those would interfer one the npc visual and on the related npcs involved. So,for ex, based on the time the player don't see the mother, when the player finally sees her again, she might be different, pregnant, the father might be dead or absent, whatever. Something that screeams time progression, to fit in her storyline. And she will prompt and story sex-quest. The story sexy-quests are decided based on the previous side sex-quests. Ex, if in the first random side sex-quest she was a mother cheating, and maybe on the second she was a doctor taking care of the player, and maybe on the third she cuckold the husband with the player, then this combination of side sex-quests might leads to an pregnant divorced mother or something like that. Since the player can decline each side sex-quest, and they are ramdom, the player kinda choose with story line he wants. At each new update of the mod, new sex-quests might be avaliable for each specific storylines, so it can be endless. And new side-quests might be also added, to help create new storylines. With that, i see this mod beeing way more popular and supported.

 

 

Suggestion 2 : Consent sex and forced sex. A date-sim option, and a imediat option.

 

Ex : Instead of an arrow that magically makes every one accept you, or besides it, the npc could chose to have sex with the player or not, and the player should be able to force it or earn it after a date-sim like experience, both leading to diferent types of dialogs : Maybe some like to be forced, or ends up liking, maybe most dont. The date-sim option could be in the "suggestion-1''. But then the player would have the ability to start the sex-quests when he/she wants. Something like : trhowing an item on the mother and prompting an sex-quest that would be her date-sim.

 

Suggestion 3 : An diary of sex activity.

While interesting some of it would take a lot of work because when it comes to any interactions with NPCs Starbound is barebones in that area. 

 

1 Quest are ok just reuse what is already there

1.2 & 1.3 the game would need to track a lot of info eventually if we take into account the fact that Starbound is a sandbox with a LOT of RNG worlds to explore and by extent many NPCs

1.4 of this I'm not sure 

1.5 that one is obvious but just in case - a story arc requires work

2 like I said you would need a whole new interaction system 'cuz Starbound is poor, no-consent dialouge is kind of already in Sexbound thanks to SxB Defeat  - if you install it of course

3 sounds easy enough game already tracks progress of past quests, books that you read, pet collection etc. so something could be done

 

The safest way to go about points 1.2 & 1.3 is to make new unique characters instead of using randomly generated NPCs from a random village on a random planet, Starbound already has terrible performance once you load too many mods no need to trash it with a lot of scripts it can't handle well

 

So a lot of great ideas but I wonder just how many can be implemented without frustration at the game once it denies cooperation, because it's a mess held by spit and duct tape

interesting. Thanks for your answer. I'll try to learn abt modding for starbound and see if these ideas matchs with my skills, since no one appears to be doing it. Wich really confuses me... In many forums i saw the adult game comunity criticize the adult mod comunity, as being purely sex with no plot/story. Wich is true. I think there is a oportunity here.
