A bit late but look into this file G:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Fallout 4\Data\Interface\DEF_CONF and set the <icons>true</icons> to <icons>false</icons> shouldn't crash anymore after that

You need to modify all of this, worked for me : 
DEF_INV.xml:13:  <headericons>true</headericons>
DEF_INV.xml:34:      <icons>true</icons>
DEF_INV.xml:54:      <icons>true</icons>
DEF_INV.xml:75:      <icons>true</icons>
DEF_INV.xml:96:      <icons>true</icons>
DEF_INV.xml:107:      <icons>true</icons>
