need help finessing animations

I tried to resolve this by doing my own research but I can't get my animations quite right.

1. masturbation anims appear to be working correctly.
2. rape anims work most of the time.
3. consensual/sleeper sex anims just stall at phase 3 during progression (actors in a perpetual caress - jump key stops working. Actors will switch between  only 2 positions with the Z key)
4. PC never has erection unless I equip one of Slof's Boners just before sex act.

General questions:
1. animation ini files go into data/ini not iniTweaks, correct?
2. positioning:
a. My understanding of the position controls is they align PC and NPC. This is a single adjustment so it's best to align the most common occurrence, correct? (Unless I want to adjust it everytime.)
b. When characters are on a bed, their heads stick through the headboard. Position controls won't correct this permanently, correct? Are settings saved automatically?

Mod questions:
loversrapestruggle: I assume this just can't be made to work with pk96.

loversrape - shadow vs galgat: It appears shadow is preferred over galgat. Are there enough technical improvements in shadow's version to make it the choice over galgat's dialogue changes. I assume galgat's sound file won't work w/o the esp.

loversrape - do the progression settings work on rapes. Ex: If I wanted the rape to last longer, could I change these settings to accomplish this?

I read somewhere that Lovers PK makes loversbed redundant.Is true?

gregathit, if you are viewing this: I saw a load order you had posted. In it mbp and lovers were reversed from the recommended load order. Is there an advantage to this?

No, there is no benefit switching around MBP due to the bashed patch.  Since pretty much everything MBP wise is loaded into the bashed patch and it is down towards the bottom of my load order then it works as it should.  For those that won't or can't (for some strange reason) use a bashed patch we created the example load order so they would not CTD.

 

Progression settings don't work worth a damn in what I have seen for rape.  You can mess with it but PK Extender wasn't meant to be used with\for rape.  About the only thing you can do is go into your settings (sexual exploits) and change the rape duration from 1.5 to 1.0 or try 0.5 (if it will let you) to make the rape sessions longer.

 

RapeStruggle - this can be made to work but from what I understand it is difficult and will often bomb out.  I never liked the plugin myself and I don't have any intention of spending time figuring out why it isn't working consistently with rev96.  Someone else is more than welcome to pick this up and figure it out.

 

Galgat's version of raperS does work, but the subtitles somehow got broken with rev96.  I recommend either using the normal stock version of raperS or ShawdowRunner\WappyOne's version.  The Shadow\WappyOne version is a vastly improved and feature rich version of the stock one. 

 

To your first questions:

3. PK Extender is setup to use certain animations.  It also has certain keys that must be hit at certain times.  Other than that I really can't offer much more help at this time.

4. Sounds like something is installed incorrectly or that you have not archive invalidated via bsa redirection.  You don't by chance have oblivion installed in the program files directory do you?

 

General questions:

1. Yes, ini files go into the oblivion\data\ini\ folder

2a.  If you use the 0-9 number keys at the top of your keyboard then lovers will save that and you won't have to make that adjustment for the rest of the game with that character.  NOTE:  If you have sex with an NPC that has a vastly different height and make another adjustment then it will only save one adjustment per sex position.  In other words, there is no way to have multiple positions saved per a single animation to accommodate all the different heights.  It is best to pick something in the "middle" and leave it alone.  Imperials are the default height and animations should be set to them.

2b.  Bed adjustments can't really be made in game.  If you see positions way off then all you can do is keep a screenshot or note it down and open the ini file for that animation (hit the console key and you can see the animation being played) and make your tweaks in the ini file.  This is something that we will eventually get to in the Lovers Animation Workshop Project.

Thanks gregathit, I just learned a few things.

 

I was hopin' you'd answer this thread. I musta looked a 2 dozen threads while researching this stuff and you were always there, helpin' out. I wanted to thank you for being here for us latecomers.

 

I forgot to post my OS (win7 64 bit). Oblivion is installed in Program Files (x86). I didn't know that was bad. I did use the archive invalidated esp but I didn't do a bsa redirection.

 

By accident, I hit the "F" key while my PC was stuck in foreplay and everything started working. Seems as if things are working well enough to move on and play the game. The PC sex thing is just a fun diversion anyway. It doesn't have to function that well.

 

I've got a texture issue (redguard has normal head but purple body) I need to solve and I'll be satisfied. If I don't find a solution, I'll post it.

 

One last question, are all NPCs in loversstupidnpc supposed to have have pink hair? I saw a thread where you told a guy, "the pink hair is from loversstupidnpc".

Yes, pink hair is the calling card for the Lovers Stupid NPC's.  I am not sure why the Japanese mod creator thought that would be cool or even necessary but it is what it is.

 

For your redguard issue I recommend you grab either FormID Finder or Refscope and use it to determine what the redgaurds mesh file is from which should help you figure out what texture you are missing.  Generally purple is a sign of a missing mesh.

Turns out it is redguard, khajit, argonian and probably ice elf all have the purple body; the same 4 I mistakenly tried to load hi-rez textures from this pack: High Rez Skin Textures for Exnems v4.4e  by Ozmo. I think you just told me where I messed up. I gotta go, right now. There's another thread in this board about the same issue. I'll post in it.  Thanks again.
