Church of Kokoro Posted March 19, 2020 Posted March 19, 2020 (edited) Sorry if this is a repost, but I figured out how to run the game in an ultra-wide resolution. I noticed that when you click 'Back' on your mouse in 3DMigoto it hides your GUI completely, but it also exposed areas hidden by black bars to retain the 16:9 aspect ratio. This is interesting because there are no ultra widescreen resolutions, but the extra areas are being rendered anyways. After hunting around for a while, I found a pixel shader that allows you to hide the black bars on either side.  Here's an easy mod to hide those black bars! Great for getting angles on screenshots that may have not previously been possible, and looks better in all areas, home screen, volleyball, and taking pictures.  Use this in conjuction with 3DMigoto's resolution scaler in d3dx.ini for any resolution imaginable. Change the width and height under [Device], set upscaling = 1, and uncomment include = shaderfixes\upscale.ini.  Known issue: When announcements for events are shown the close button can't be clicked so you will need to disable the mod.  I am currently running 5140x1440.  Before:  After, all 3840x1600 pixels of goodness: ultrawide_hide_black_bars.ini Edited August 20, 2022 by Church of Kokoro 19

vamp3003 Posted May 23, 2020 Posted May 23, 2020 I am on 3440x1440 and the only problem I can see is that F11 on 3dmigoto stretches the image to 3440x1440 and full screen but is very pixelated Is there a way to get real 3440x1440 resolution in full screen?

zecknor Posted October 25, 2020 Posted October 25, 2020 Anyone got the hash to change it to 5120 x 1440? Please and thanks!

Lol, I realize this post is 6 months old now, but the hash is exactly the same regardless of resolution. When I went from 3840x1600(or something like that) and switched to 5140x1440, there was no change needed.
clovershigh Posted May 8, 2021 Posted May 8, 2021 I tried the above method and it did not work. Does it still work?

Just interested in what you do, hope you can share your d3dx.ini file, let me try its feasibility.  Tried setting my resolution to 5120x1440 in the dxd but it just made the launcher black and i couldnt start the game. Regardless of how I configure d3dx.ini, I'll either get a standard 16:9 photo via the ingame camera or a VERY compressed/squashed screenshot via Steam (21:9 -> 16:9).
illusion0320 Posted February 8, 2022 Posted February 8, 2022 (I can't speak English. I'm using Google Translate.) Â I'm having a problem. When I press the "Gacha Details" button to display the probability list, the back button does not appear on the screen. Did I make a mistake? Are the following steps incorrect? Put "ultrawide_hide_black_bars.ini" in the "Mods" folder. Rewrite d3dx.ini. Delete the ";" at the beginning of "include = shaderfixes \ upscale.ini.". (Uncomment) Change from "upscaling = 0" to "upscaling = 1". Uncomment "width = 1280" and "height = 720". Match the value to the screen resolution.
mailerden Posted February 26, 2022 Posted February 26, 2022 I have the same problem. My resolution became much bigger, and image quality improved, but whenever in-game web-browser launches, "close" button located outside of visible screen frame. It looks like web-browser upscales even more than game resolution itself. It's extremely annoying, when you launches game after update, because you cannot skip this announces and there is no any keyboard button to do that. Appreciate for any ideas.
VeraXona Posted August 20, 2022 Posted August 20, 2022 When I use "set upscaling = 1" the game's launcher menu turns into black screen.  If I reverted to 0, it goes back to normal screen.  Please, any way to fix this? I'm trying to play in 3440x1440 resolution.
VeraXona Posted August 20, 2022 Posted August 20, 2022 Nevermind, I just needed to drop "ultrawide_hide_black_bars.ini" in the Mods folder of 3DM. I thought you just had copied the hash file from there to d3dx.ini.  From d3dx.ini, change the width and height under [Device] to your own setting (I used Height = 3440, Width = 1440).  I did not use "set upscaling = 1" (It's still 0), and did not touch "uncomment include = shaderfixes\upscale.ini."  Since set=upscaling=1 turns the launch screen to black on my end.  Just want to clarify, it's normal that the mouse pointer can't go beyond the original black screen placements? Since I'm trying to dragged all the way to right or left, but it gets stopped at those lines.  Also, Title Menu and Loading Screen still stuck to the original resolution. That's just normal yes?  Thanks for this! Finally I can play DOAXVV in the US with Reshade/3DM (Custom Mods) as well as Ultrawide!  I can even buy some microtransactions based on the prices on the store.  I have all DLCs/100% Saves/100% Unlocks of DOA5LR + DOA6 + DOA Dimensions.  Now I can play DOA Xtreme Venus Vacation all in my PC!!  Thanks again for this! 1
VeraXona Posted August 20, 2022 Posted August 20, 2022 One last thing, Is there any way to have the Reshade and 3DM Menu look not squeeze/small? Â During the launcher menu, I can barely see the 3DM, while during gameplay. I can barely see the Reshade menu. Â Is there a way to properly scale this or is this stuck for good? Â I can still read it, but going to have to squint and focus on my monitor up close.

I have to turn this mod off when there are new announcements.

VeraXona Posted August 20, 2022 Posted August 20, 2022 So for announcement stuff about gacha details. If you want to read the rest (due to the scaling of the mod). I just need to remove "Ultrawide Resolution with 3DMigoto.ini" in the 3DM Mod folder then put it back if I need to return? Â Definitely going to have fun playing(dressing up) this!!

Also forgot to ask, how do you install the Nude mod again? Also is it only on top or can customize with bottom and both?
yangsx Posted August 23, 2022 Posted August 23, 2022 How do you run natively at 1440p? I think the game only supports 1080p and 4k.
VeraXona Posted August 28, 2022 Posted August 28, 2022 So where nude mods to get and install? Is it compatible with all outfits (SR, SSR etc) or some restrictions?
