Turn hair into a helmet

I want to make one of the Tera hairs an equipable helm so I can have a town and adventuring hairstyle. I've googled to the best of my ability but I cannot find a tutorial on how to do this. ( I may not be putting in the right key words or something). I have nifskope and the ck.

Thanks so much. I got my hair to work as a helm and I made it temperable too. The texture is quite dark though. Should I manually colour it? I'm using Tera hair 1b.

I'm not at home, I can't test the Tera hairs.

 

With the example I provided, load the hair nif file in NifSkope.

    property Hair Tint Color --> Here you can choose a color
