Male and female gender in translations

 

Languages like Portuguese of Brazil and others that use a lot of gender in words are a complication for translation of the game.
Especially because the original game uses words in English that have no gender and serve both, but that translates in different words for the masculine or feminine gender.

Here is a way to solve:
 

really we that we have a lot of genre in the words we suffer a little with this in the translation, as in English practically no gender in adjectives and things and in Portuguese and Spanish for example has gender for everything, we suffer in translation ...

it is strange to translate by putting: / a or (a), as in the example you gave instead of saying:

I translate as
 "who stole escaped"

 

(makes more sense in Portuguese)

 

so I always try to change what the gender affirms by a neutral synonym, it is not always possible, but .... it is the best I have found for now.

When the authors make their mods it is possible to leave distinct lines for Masculine and Feminine characters, however, as the authors use English language and in him there are not these gender problems in so many words, and adjectives and things end up using only a text that in English serves both for men and women but for us here in the translation do not ...

but the tip is this:
use creativity in the interlacing of the text and substitute rigid and literal translation for something that is meant for man or woman.

 

Another example:

per
"is going to change clothes"

 

is a superficial example but without changing the meaning allows the same text to be used for men or women

realmente sabemos que tenemos mucho género en las palabras sufrimos un poco con esto en la traducción, ya que en inglés prácticamente no hay género en los adjetivos y las cosas y en portugués y español, por ejemplo, tenemos género para todo, sufrimos en la traducción ...

es extraño traducir al poner: / a o (a), como en el ejemplo que dio en lugar de decir:

 

 "el/a ladrón/a ha escapado"
Yo traduzco como
 "quien robó escapó"

 

así que siempre trato de cambiar lo que afirma el género por un sinónimo neutral, no siempre es posible, pero ... es lo mejor que he encontrado por ahora.

realmente nós que temos muito genero nas palavras sofremos um tanto com isso na tradução, como em ingles praticamente não tem genero em adjetivos e coisas e em portugues e espanhol por exemplo tem genero pra tudo, a gente sofre na tradução...

 

fica estranho traduzir colocando: /a ou (a), como ele(a) ladrão(a)... em vez de dizer:

 "o(a) ladrão(a) escapou" 
eu traduzo como
 "quem roubou escapou" 

 

então sempre tento trocar o que afirma o genero por um sinonimo neutro, nem sempre é possivel, mas....é o melhor que encontrei por enquanto.

Quando os autores fazem seus mods é possivel deixar falas distintas para personagens Masculinos e Femininos, porém, como os autores usam idioma ingles e nele não há estes problemas de genero em tantas palavras, e adjetivos e coisas acabam usando só um texto que em ingles serve tanto para homens e mulheres mas, pra nós aqui na tradução não...

 

mas a dica é essa:
use a criatividade na interpretação do texto e substitua por algo que se dá a entender para homem ou mulher.

outro exemplo:

"ela vai trocar seu vestido" 
por 
"está indo mudar de roupa"

 

é um exemplo superficial mas sem mudar o sentido permite que o mesmo texto seja usado para homens ou mulheres
