I am obviously missing something trivial, ie; I am being stupid, none the less...

 

 

I am playing a female PC. As A test I initiate sex with Doc Mitchel. Both figures undress, but the Doc has only a head and hands, and no animation starts. Otherwise the sequence plays out (both characters fall to the ground...odd, a red "mesh is missing" icon appears briefly while we are still in the non-animated act) then we both redress and conversation continues correctly.

 

I did the same with Chet in the store just to be certain that it was not the good Doctor, and got the same exact results.

 

 

I have done a reload with a clean save, twice.

I have tried using breezes and not using breeezes.

I have checked to be certain that there is a male mesh, there are actually several. Uppebody, upperbodymale, upperbodymale-erect, upperbodymale-soft, and upperbodymale-underwear

 

I have NVSE 3beta2 installed in the folder with the Geck and the Fallout NV launcher etc. which I believe is the correct folder.

 

I have NVSE extender in the Data/NVSE/Plugins folder. The plugins folder that was created upon loading MCM.

 

I am playing through steam so I assume that MY NV has been updated correctly. I am under the impression that it updates automatically via steam.

 

I do not believe that I have any other animation Mods, but I am including a mod list just so you can see.

 

I have read through much of the trouble shooting thread and while I have seen similar problems addressed, nothing that was suggested in any of them seems to be working for me. So what little thing am I foolishly missing?

You are most likely missing the sexout data pack. Unfortunately it is no longer available in the OP of the Sexout thread, because MF decided to block all files with "sex" in the filename.

Yep. That was the problem. I kept seeing a reference to a data file, but I thought it was referring to the SCR data file.
