Companion Dailogue Bug

Hey guys.

 

I'm having a bit of an issue when it comes to talking with my companions. Typically, it shows an option of Trade, Talk, Wait, etc. However, I get Talk, Talk, Talk, and Wait instead. Unsure if I'm the only one who had this or not, but it's rather annoying. I did a temp fix with AmazingFollowerTweaks, but this idea broke my game entirely. Even then I don't care for the mod itself, and prefer using it on games like Skyrim.

 

Any idea if this could be a potential mod conflict? Below is my mod list. Note after figuring this error out, I plan to start a new game. Just want to be sure this is resolved before making a new game.

Can't say for sure, I haven't had it happen to me before. I don't use a lot of the mods you have there but if I had to start somewhere I'd say look at Horizon- Better Settlers as being in conflict. Disable one of them and see if it fixes it. That's where I'd start but it doesn't mean that's what it is. If that doesn't work sorry I couldn't help more, but I'm pretty sure both mods change the settlers so you never know. Lol

 

Edit: Ah sorry. I just realized you said companion so really don't know if what I said is irrelavent but I'll leave it anyhow since I already typed it. Sleep Intimate could be another suspect if it has its own dialogue, don't know don't use it.

Why are you using the "companionbugfix.esp"  what problems were you experiencing to want that mod?

Oh that mod. I was thinking it would fix the dialogue issue, but it didn’t. Will for sure take that off.

 

Yes this is a companion issue. Not non essential npcs or settlers. Their dialogues work fine. We’re talking the companion dialogue for commands.

Doesn’t really help seeing I can’t recall the last two ?nothing on the list throws a red flag?

what about the synth overhaul? how long have you had that installed?

Usually these overhaul mods have hidden bugs that do not show up until after you have had them installed for many game hours.

Once the bug is released it can migrate all over your game depending on its function, or the functions it replaced.

For like a month, but it only focuses on overhauling the synth. It wouldn't relate to anything on a companion dialogue

You can sort your mods by install date in your mod manager.
