Issues with animations crashing & nudesuit

Recommended Posts

Hey folks, after spending over 24+ hours on various occasions trying to get things to work, I atleast got most of my things semi stable..

My main issues now are:
- Raider children ain't killable, I have one in Cordon when trying to get to the museum. He's not shooting back but I can't kill him either.
- Women are in underwear all the time, even during sex, so I'm afraid nudesuit may not be working.
- Some animations seem to crash my game.

I know it's a lot. Any help is appreciated. :x

Edit: I've reinstalled animations, AFTER nudesuit as I totally read that wrong.. I am using Nude Uncut, but without it there was nothing at all.
I've gotten rid of Raider Children, so may start back over from the vault if anyone thinks it'll cause issues. I don't really overly care about that anyway at this point.
Reinstalled CBBE to not have NeverNude. I could've sworn somewhere in FP it said that NeverNude worked with removing it for sex scenes, so I'll just be naked all the time I guess. Not sure if this fixed animation crashes.

Edit2: Actually reinstalling CBBE still didn't fix any of that.
Edit3: Okay fixed the body. Shame about the nude, and nudesuit not working, but that's really not a huge deal. One step closer atleast!

I see several conflictions just in your load order. Also, you were using the NeverNude option in CBBE? Why? If you choose the NeverNude option your character will be, well...never nude. Even during sex scenes...you need to go into Bodyslide, set your body shape and "build" the body using the CBBE Physics option. That's your best bet.

First off, you have Vivid Weathers and True Storms installed. You should only have one.

Delete Diverse Bodies, it's just not worth the trouble.

Delete Mindless Sex unless you really need it that badly. There's a chance it conflicts with RSE.

Scrap Everything conflicts with either Four-Play or RSE for some reason. I can't remember why, I just know that it does.

You need "Immersive Killable Children". It's basically an update to the now defunct Killable Children mod.

Immersive Killable Children, ANiceOakTree's Diverse Children, Raider Children and Better Settlers have a SPECIFIC installation procedure you need to follow or else they will conflict.

Move RSE to the bottom or as close to the bottom of your load order as possible.

And please, optimize your load order. Everything is all over the place so I bet you have conflictions abound. That's probably why your game is crashing.

Just trying to help!

I misread the Nevernude option- the downside of installing a lot at once! I fixed that, though. I've yet to properly use Bodyslide as I've only used the base body for testing purposes. I do this through the customisation menu?

I have a patch for Vivid Weathers & True Storms to work together. :]
I think I had a mod that relied on Diverse Bodies, which is why I had it-- I could be wrong. Why do you say (your opinion, ofcourse) it isn't worth the trouble?
Mindless Sex has been removed already, thank you.  : )
Really? That's odd. I'll take a look at that later.
I added Immersive Killable Children shortly after I wrote my last edit and it does work now. Thank you! I'll take a new look at the Killable Children, Diverse Children, Raider Children and Better Settles and reinstall those if needed.
Optimize it? How do you mean-- sorry. I used LOOT, I figured it'd be fine.

And thanks. I know I make a lot of mistakes, especially when I keep hammering at it over and over. Slowly getting there, heh.

Edit: I checked all four out and don't see any specific installations for them. The only one that was more complex was Better Settlers which I've installed carefully already. I'm guessing there's a special installation for them somewhere?

NeverNude issue fixed - good.

Weathers patch - good.

Diverse Bodies is a Vinfamy mod which is now outdated and pretty much no longer supported.

Mindless Sex gone - good.

Let me know what you find on the scrap everything mod. I swear it conflicts but maybe Flashy or someone fixed the conflict? I can't remember.

Glad Immersive Killable Children worked for you!

The specific installation is only necessary if you're using Orphans of the Commonwealth. I don't see you using that so you should be okay. Just for reference, I have Raider Children, Diverse Children, Better Settlers, Better Settlers CCAPack, Better Settlers No Lollygagging, Orphans of the Commonwealth and Immersive Killable Children set like that in my load order.

If you used LOOT then you should be okay.

Don't worry about mistakes, it happens. We all make mistakes. I hope you get everything working.

On Scrap Everything - I have this in my LO, it is the very last thing to load and seems to play well with the Four-Play, RSE, etc.  I have no issues scrapping things and haven't noticed issues with the settlement items added by FP or FP related mods, as a result.  I'm using the Scrap Everything Ultimate edition, buildinggroundfix and scrapupdate ultimate.  I probably should merge these at some point, but that's another story for a different day. :)

Diverse Bodies seems to be unsupported, but I haven't needed to update it and it still seems to work well - meaning it's still doing something ;)

I'll get rid of Diverse Bodies then, part of me doesn't want to but I trust you! Haha.
I'll try to work with Scrap Everything for now though.
I do use Orphans of the Commonwealth, I had to get a patch to work with some of the others I believe.
Oh-- so it was okay? Kk cool! :D

Thanks so much btw ❤️

Edit: Seeing AWP, (as I was typing he posted it seems!) It seems most everything is gucci then?

Well specifically, your original load order had:

Raider Kids

Killable children

DiverseChildren

Orphans

More orphans stuff...

As the game load settings top to bottom, the Raider Kids weren't killable, then killable children fixed that, but the DiverseChildren unfixed it ;)  Putting these into the correct order will solve the 'killableness', but may overwrite other things that DiverseChildren requires.

See below example of what is happening.  From left to right, this shows the priority with the rightmost mod "winning" on the children's records.  As you had it, note that the Essential flag is added back (that Killable Children removed).  Additionally the "Child" flag removed by Killable Children was added back by DiverseChildren.

Simply switch that load order around so that you can teach Little Johnny some proper manners!

Recommended Order:

DiverseChildren

Raider Kids

Killable children

Orphans

More orphans stuff...

Huh, that actually makes a lot of sense! I always found it odd what had to be at the top or what had to be at the bottom.. The main things are important so are at the top.. Yet other important things are at the bottom. x')

Immersive Killable Children fixed it though, so woop!

Edit: Still don't quite get how to use Bodyslide though.

Think of your load order like a set of switches.  Many mods add wholly new records to the game and affect no vanilla records, and so these are generally conflict free.  However, when mods affect vanilla records they can conflict with each other.  One mod turns the switch on, another loading later in the order turns it back off.  Many mod authors are good about having this type of information on their page, but it's not 100% in a all cases.

The best way to know is to load your entire load order in to xEdit (as above) and check for conflicts.  Remediation of the conflicts can most often be solved with simple load order placement adjustments - but in some cases merged patches will need to be created.  This is most commonly found when 2 mods update 2 different settings on the same record.

As an example, imagine you had two mods that updated the combat knife.  One mod increase the base damage and the other increased the attack speed.  One would always cancel the other out, regardless of load order.  To solve this, a merged patch would be needed to incorporate both settings changes into a single plugin.

But that's more advanced than I think you need here.

What sort of BodySlide issues are you having?

Link to comment

What is xEdit exactly? But-- that's a very interesting way of putting it! Thank you.

Yeah, that makes a lot of sense-- I never know when or not to make a merged patch.

And I just haven't used it/have no idea how to use it, I'll look at the page of Bodyslide when I get to it and try to figure it out. Thanks! Seriously you guys are the best.

xEdit is the general common name for a plugin editing software for Bethesda games.  It's community made, and in many respects superior to the Creation Kit/G.E.C.K. as it allows for easy (depending on skill level) and rapid adding/editing of plugin settings without the overhead and bugs from Creation Kit/G.E.C.K.

The 'x' in xEdit is replaced by an abbreviation for each game that it supports - they are different softwares, available on Nexus.  FO4Edit is the one for Fallout 4, for instance.  Skyrim and Skyrim SSE also have their own versions as well:  TES5Edit, SSEEdit, etc.

The comparison screen shot I posted above of plugin settings was captured from FO4Edit (xEdit) for Fallout 4.  Note, ALL of the mods I have created have been done exclusively in xEdit.  I generally use the Creation Kit/G.E.C.K. for reference purposes or if I need to edit things in plugins that aren't available in xEdit or are easier to do in CK (like quests, dialogue, etc.).

Here is some information about xEdit from the S.T.E.P. wiki and a link to a host of Fallout 4 specific tutorials where you can find just about anything you might be looking for :)

Ohhh, I see! That's interesting. A bit above my paygrade I think haha. Actually now that you mention the names it sounds a bit more familiar, hrm..

That's pretty dang cool. Thanks for the info again!

With AAF RSE coming out I feel like I may have wasted time getting all of this installed.. But I guess I can keep my female character in FP and just make a new Nexus profile for my male character once AAF is properly out? I'm not a fan of starting off, especially cuz I like building settlmenets haha.

Do you know anything of making modifications (preferably not replacements, but new models) to armour etc? Been trying to get help on the nexus forums but with little luck. If you wanna know exactly what I mean I can PM it. Not sure if I'm allowed to post the link.

Edit: Also, I can NOT get Nuclear CBBE bodies working without blackface.

Edit2: Playing a bit, I found that Preston got knocked down in that original fight and is struggling to keep moving to where he needs to go after I picked him up.

Edit3: Aaaand it  seems I can't exactly start conversations with people.. Pressing E on them does nothing unles they have a quest for me. No random words or anything. Think it doesn't work on random traders either. So it's not just Preston. Most NPCs seem to just be broken.. Damnit, and just as I thought my game was good. *sigh*

Edit4: 'New' char to see (can't actually  load into a new game but I got chars that just came off the mirror in Sanctuary start) if it'll happen again.. Doing bodychange with the console command, clicking body and exitting to fix camera.. Did not fix camera, in fact it's just T-posed now. :P That meant to happen?  Also- happens in erry game. :/

@Militus Honestly, I would separate this into the two issues that it is, at this point:

1. Making new armor mods - questions/answers/etc.

2. Your present game seems to have been messed up by something

As for #1, yes I know about this as do many others here - and we're a helpful bunch.

For #2, I recommend a new thread in tech support.  You'll want to include additional details too, like your mod list, when did this start occurring, had you recently made any changes to your load order?  Which mod manger do you use? etc.  screenshots are helpful too.

Easy google is your friend, the "blackface" bug is a known issue with the high res skin pack, CBBE, and other custom body mods.  There are fixes available for it on Nexus.

Link to comment

Hrm, to 1# Can I even make a thread about it here, since it may aswell be posted on Nexus? Just.. had no real help there.

#2 I can do that, aye-- I'll try to get video of it too.

The blackface wouldn't be resolved, I don't use high res-- ty anyway tho :)
