About This File
This is a small mod I started working on and wanted to share. It is inspired by the Doppelganger event from the Friends & Foes DLC. The scenario is: What if your character happened to recruit a maid who looked exactly like them? Will you be nice to her? And what happens if you are? To start, be an adult female ruler below the age of 30 with two existent (not necessarily living) parents. Your highest held title needs to be at least of duchy rank, and you need to have at least two counties in direct possession.
As for events, there is one event (plus a follow-up) tied to each skill (Diplomacy, Martial, Stewardship, Intrigue, Learning) for which you need at least a value of 8 in the respective skill, one of the respective focuses, or an education tied to it (the exception being Intrigue, which can trigger regardless of any of these). All of these have counterparts once you're past the main event in case you actually managed to trigger them and taught your maid. Other than that, pretty much all events just happen randomly without being tied to anything in particular. By now, there are actually a few. It should be noted, however, that your character needs to be neither wounded nor ill for the events to be able to fire. The big one can also only happen when you aren't at war.
Should you want more info about the story and don't mind spoiling yourself:
After recruiting the maid, you are presented with multiple events that allow you to teach her or reject teaching her. If you are generally nice to her and at the very least teach her to read and write, she is eventually going to want to take over. Should you lose out in the single combat, she will take your name, your family, and all your titles except for your weakest county.
As this is a story driven mod, it will probably not be something fit for regular play. Instead, it's something that you devote one character to and then play through their life.

Mod Integration
Carnalitas - Assigns one of the large breast traits to the doppelganger and one of the small breast traits to the rival maid should you be playing with body part traits enabled. This is built into IMU and no compatibility patch is needed. Should you be playing without Carnalitas, this will cause the error log to complain about missing game rules and traits. Everything will still work just fine however, and these errors in the log can be safely ignored.
EPE - Allows for IMU's clothing modifiers to visually affect the character even when the respective character's culture is using an EPE-specific clothing gfx. Needs the compatibility patch from the download section to function.

What's New in Version 1.12.4
Released
11th of April 2024 (Patch 1.12.4/Scythe): Finished the identity loss story. Most of these events aren't strictly speaking adding anything new. Rather, they reflect on some of the choices you made along the way with the player character's identity either being reaffirmed, eroded, or lost depending on said choices. There is also another rival maid event in there for those who decided to be nice to her. With this update, I think I am satisfied with potential submissive endings for now (I'd like one more for the maid, and that's it; at least until Roads to Power comes out) and I will try to finally focus on the other paths in the coming updates. Unless, of course, I get some killer ideas from people or inspiration strikes me.
10th of March 2024 (Patch 1.12.2.1/Scythe): Played around with portrait modifiers some more and added two for the weight gain event, two general ones for the visible age of the player character and their doppelganger, as well as one pertaining to the rival maid. I also updated the EPE Compatibility Patch to the current version, this time with full support of all the cool clothing EPE adds! Also added two minor events for the rival maid while I was at it.
5th of March 2024 (Patch 1.12.1/Scythe): Just a quick version number adjustment so the game stops complaining. Also split off a version for the old patch (1.11.5/Peacock) for people who still want to play with it. It is functionally identical to the one for the current patch. No content has been added. Since the EPE team will need some time to update their mod, there will be no EPE Compatibility Patch for the current patch for a while.
28th of February 2024 (Patch 1.11.5/Peacock): Added a compatibility patch for EPE for those people who care enough about the clothing modifiers from IMU actually visibly affecting characters to want such a thing. This is a "quick" and dirty compatch, mind you. This won't make use of all of the nice clothing EPE adds, as that would take me much more time than I am currently willing to invest. To install, simply drop the IMU folder found within the .zip into your mod folder like you would do with a regular mod and let it overwrite the file from the main mod when prompted.
26th of February 2024 - Hotfix (Patch 1.11.5/Peacock): Made a mistake with the clothes for Indian cultures. This update adresses that issue. If you already downloaded the version from earlier today, please, update. I'm sorry for the inconvenience.
26th of February 2024 (Patch 1.11.5/Peacock): Teeny-tiny update to add a functionality I meant to add on the last release but couldn't figure out. The clothing modifiers you can receive in some of the recently added events now actually visibly affect the clothing of the character in question. I also added two little scenes inspired by m8l85555x's and Rexie's suggestions (to trigger them, you have to have the maid rival around and have had your doppelganger ask you for helping them dress, as well as having indulged in their scent). Make sure to delete the previous version before installing this one.
23rd of February 2024 (Patch 1.11.5/Peacock): Added some events to give people a better idea of what I am in need of ideas for. Many of them are either simply a slice of life or have some mildly naughty content (nothing really hardcore, although there is one slightly darker event). I also took time to work in the suggestion from Rexie, Ouroboros007, and Phaze Star. Thank you again for sharing them with me! In terms of functionality, many of these new events keep track of how often you consent to doing naughty things, how often you assert yourself, and how often you are submissive. Currently, there are three more events if you went with the more submissive options. I would have liked to include something for the assertive route as well, but had no good ideas come to mind. I'm sorry.

11th of February 2024 (Patch 1.11.5/Peacock): Added some more flavour events for after the main event. Many of them are simply the inverse of the ones you can see when the Doppelganger is your maid. For that reason, they require you to have taught her in the respective discipline (i. e. the stewardship based event requires you to have taught the maid Doppelganger about stewardship through the respective event). There are some minor follow up events should you either succeed all or fail all of these. I also added some events in anticipation of more naughty ones, but they are very few. If you were holding out for sexy content or content for opposing the Doppelganger, this is not yet the update for you. Finally, there's one leftover decision completely unrelated to the maid stuff from when I experimented with different effects. It is available for anyone whose wife is a witch (either openly or you know her secret).
