About This File

This is a quest and follower mod that takes place in a large custom made dungeon with branching pathways to reach the ending. Find the cure, complete the quest, enjoy these new followers.

 

The Queen's Cure is a game concept I wanted to make a video game of but with a lack of time and the way the world is I cannot guarantee I would ever get to make it, so I made it as a Skyrim mod instead. A band of adventurers from High Rock came to the border of Skyrim in their search for a mythical potion that is said to heal anyone from anything. These adventurers wish to find this elixir to bring it back to their queen who has fallen under a deathly illness that despite the king's best efforts and resources has not successfully cured. The Dragonborn has the ability to join this fellowship in their search through this previously hidden valley and long abandoned fortress, laced with both treasure and danger. For the Queen, and long may she live.

 

This mod adds 6 new followers; Erik the barbarian, Peter the rogue, Xavier the mage, Claire the spellsword, Emilia the rookie, and Valentina their hardy leader. Each of them has a backstory that can be discovered through dialog with the various followers. Their journey takes them into the long secluded Verdant Approach where they hope to find the rumored Elixir of Arkay. This custom dungeon has a myriad of enemies making their homes inside of it and will hinder your progress. Help these adventurers find this elixir and they will become potential followers and marriage candidates. They're all essential so don't worry about them dying.

--- A word of Warning ---------

This is a new mod. I tested it to the best of my ability. I myself am capable of finishing the quest without issue, disincluding issues caused by npcs themselves like being slow to realize what they're supposed to do next or getting choked up in tight corridors. I made most of the halls extra big to avoid this issue but there is one segment that is two small tunnels because muh immersion, please just exercise patience regarding npc derpyness as well as any bugs and issues I have not forseen like for general computer weirdness or different PCs doing things differently. Enough prostration.

No they don't have custom voice lines.

 

If anybody knows how to make NPCs trainers message me. I can't get them to work unless they have the exact same voice type and training type as an existing trainer. That's why only Claire is a trainer because Arcadia.

-x-x-x- How To Start? -x-x-x-x-x-x-

2 ways to start the quest. The first is to rumor hunt from tavern owners. I can't guarantee that every barkeep will talk about it because I asked Hulda, Vinius, and Kleppr and of those 3 only Kleppr wouldn't say the rumor, so there is some reason some barkeeps won't talk about it. But this feature does work. The second method is to simply walk into the quest area. The Verdant Approach is located in the deep south of the Reach, between Arkngthamz and Valthume.
