Entry 20- Priorities and Progress and crap like that...

I believe I've been silent long enough about how things have been going lately, so its time for a comprehensive update on everything related to me right now. Feel free to skip to whatever might matter to you, I don't really mind.

-Sexlab Breeder

This mod is in kind of a really precarious position right now. It has kind of reached the point of requiring monstrous amounts of work in order to put out further updates. I'm thinking it might be time to rebuild things from scratch again, but... We'll see. Anyways, just to address a couple of things I see a lot: Yes, it works just fine with Beeing Female right now. That's all well and good, but I'm talking about a complete integration of its features alongside it. (You know, stuff like going into heat, and all that good stuff...)

As for character expansions, it will be extremely difficult to create the other three packs. Mainly because of the fact that being hybrids, they will all need a unique appearance of their own. Not to mention they will all need their own caves, which is a nightmare of its own.

More interactions with Tigras are likely the first thing I would work on if I were to start working on this mod again. It would add quite a bit to the story, remove some plot holes that have been staring me in the face ever since the first release of this mod, and would require the least amount of work to implement. (Comparatively, of course, there's still a lot of work involved in this. Dialogue in skyrim is a mess.)

As for a male potion of SLB. I'm still planning on doing something for this. First though, I need to create a better werewolf hybrid outfit. The current one just isn't going to cut it for much longer.

-Sexlab Release

Don't really know what to say about this one. I really haven't felt like working on it after somebody else took the reins with it.

-Hybrid Companions

My pet project has been what's been taking up most of my thinking lately. Its odd, because it is so small in scope, yet what I'm wanting to accomplish here is quite detailed. I don't want to mention too much right now, so I'll give mostly a status update of what's been going on lately, since my thread for this kind of just seemed to die off in terms of interest.

Lyre the Neko:

-Currently I have a general idea of how I would like her to look right now. She will be the lightest of the three. Her base race will be a Breton.

-Her outfit is currently a WIP. Needs to be weight painted and textured.

-Her backstory is unstarted currently.

Hikari the Kitsune:

-I have yet to decide on most of the finer details of her appearance. However, she will have a voluptuous build, with her base race being Imperial.

-Her outfit has been textured, but needs to have its weight paintings tweaked.

-Backstory is currently unstarted, but her personality is determined.

Aria the Dog-Girl (...Bitch? /shrug)

-I've probably worked on her appearance the most. She will be built a bit in-between the other two girls. Her base race is a Redguard.

-I've yet to come up with an outfit for her. I have no idea how to even begin one for her because I've yet to find something inspiring.

-Backstory is currently unstarted, her personality is a WIP.

Aeros the mage

-Honestly, he was originally just a "means to an end" to meet the girls, but... Lately his role in things has been expanding to something similar to a father figure. I've yet to do anything with his appearance, but thankfully, he won't need anything special for an outfit.

-Backstory and personality are a WIP

-Call of the Wild

Things aren't going extremely well right now. Johnny has been too busy to get anything done lately. Currently the framework has been coded, and is waiting for some spells to be implemented in order to test it. Right now we are working on the tattoo part of the framework. No ETA on that being finished though, for the above reasons. That's all I feel at liberty to discuss right now. A mod of this scope is way too much for just two people to handle though... /sigh

Anyways, consider the silence broken. That's more or less the status of everything I'm working on currently.

How about having johnny throw up a message on the CoTW frontpage to see if anyone with experience in making spells could give you guys a hand with them? You're right about how it's too much for two people to handle.

I'm also thinking that you yourself seem to have a lot of projects in the works and more ideas to come, don't you think that this may drain you of motivation to mod and leave them unfinished? I know what it's like as i work in the creative sector myself, and sometimes it's better to limit oneself to make sure you get results that you are happy with.

I don't think many people are going to show up offering to help until we have a playable version released. At this point, too many people have wanted to help only to flake out on us for me to not be very skeptical about people that might want to help.

At any rate, yeah, I have a lot of projects. I feel it to be kind of necessary though, because as I stated above, two of my mods are more or less not being worked on right now. Hybrid Companions is the only one I've been actively working on creatively recently. So while it looks like I have a lot of projects, I do tend to work on them separately from one another.

Anyways, working in the creative field, I think you know exactly how I feel when I say I'll never be happy with my own work. There's always something that could be better, or someone who could do it better. I'm just the one who's getting it done.

Yeah i know what you mean when it comes to not being happy with the results you get. I have however found that the jobs where i've felt happy with the process rather than the result are the ones that i now think are the ones that ended up the best. It is a slow thing, but eventually you do come to realise that what you do is appreciated by others, despite your own discontent, because as you say, you're the one getting it done.
