For all who haven't noticed, I changed my screen name (not GitcheGumee anymore). I have a few things to talk about in terms of modding, so let me get to it.
Well, my new job is sure enough keeping me too busy to any serious modding. During my long shifts, I have a lot of time to think about where I keep going wrong with my attempts to build mods. Among those places where I go wrong is in trying to get too complicated with things that seem will always be outside my ability to grasp.
Therefore, I have found myself thinking that I need to do something simple with one of my projects in particular, The Crystal Corridor. With this mod, I have been trying to figure out how to write a script to teleport the player. This is where I feel that I've gone full retard; I've come to the conclusion that it would be better to use a generic vanilla script that that triggers upon reading a book and then delivers the player to a specific teleport marker. It's a /facepalm moment every time I think of it.
The time away from modding has been kind to me in these terms. I am grateful to have opportunities to really think things though and come up with plans that aren't half-baked.
I also realize that it must have been a pain in the ass and then some to try to work with me on things. I'm very grateful for the help that I have received.
So, back to the mod thing; are there any thoughts? I have the CK open now looking over possible ways to accomplish this.
I'll be here waiting and trying to learn something new.
