Problems with downloads

I seem to be unable to download anything off this site that is bigger than 1MB. I have only had this problem recently (a week ago) out of the years that I have used this site. Is anyone else witnessing this problem? What are possible solutions? (I've tried different computers and accounts)

UPDATE: I've been told to try and get out of 'junior member' status and maybe that would fix things. What are some quick ways to do that without spamming?

Posting in the big board of fun is one way to get your post count up.  However, that will do absolutely nothing about your download problem.  You need to check your virus scanner as well as your internet connection for those.  There are quite a few threads that contain specifics in this section on this.
