Do you update them, or they just sit there from the installation? If you do, then when and how? I had a loadorder about quarter size of yours and everything was alright until I decided to update to current versions.

Do you update them, or they just sit there from the installation? If you do, then when and how? I had a loadorder about quarter size of yours and everything was alright until I decided to update to current versions.

 

 

During a game if the mod is working properly I only update if the new version adds features I want to use right away. When starting a new game I will update the mods to their newest version. Complex mods like SD+ you need to follow the updating instructions carefully or just wait until you start another game.

 

If you are going to update them during a game I suggest this:

1) take a look at your papyrus logs to see if there are any existing errors with the mod you are updating

2) make a good save point, someplace with very little going on and no npc's

3) update the mod

4) play a bit and then check the papyrus log for new errors, particularly ones about missing properties or similar things. If you see them the mod should only be updated at the start of a new game.

If there are no issues you can go on to the next one.

This is my load order, you can get them from it fairly easily, most start down at about 8F but some are further down than that.
