a way to make ESC open System tab?

pressing the ESC key is supposed to take me to the system tab but won't do so.
i've noticed that pressing the ESC key takes me to the journal tab as well as the J key. no amount of remapping will make the ESC key
take me to the system tab. is there a way to fix this?

Aye. On the whole I really like SE but some jackass got permission to change a whole bunch of things that weren't forkin' broken: Both esc and J open the journal. Sprint is now a toggle. Etc.

Seriously. All game developers need to hire a guy who's only job is to deliver Leroy Jethro Gibbs slaps to the backs of appropriate heads.
