CTDs Upon Loading Games

I was forced to return my PC to a state where my files were saved but all of my programs and such were reset, Skyrim included. In order to play the game I have to go into the coc qasmoke room. Here I can stay for as long as I want with no issue but as soon as I try to load another game Skyrim crashes. Alternatively, starting a new game results in the game crashing as soon as I get near Helgen keep. Admittedly I know which mods are the likely culprits for that particular issue but I don't want to make a save, turn off the game and then be unable to load it again.

 

I have followed all sorts of steps in resolving this issue so I'm not really sure what all I can tell you I've done, other than a lot stuff. I did pull up my load order in TES5edit and I'm very uncomfortable with the amount of red boxes I see on there. Can someone please help me sort this out? And yes, before you ask my computer can handle the mods. I was running about 95% of these before I had to reset my computer.

You should consider making a bashed patch if you are uncomfortable with the red boxes.

Make sure to run LOOT

 

Your SOS plugins are loading before SOS.

and many things are not in order.  This could very well cause the game to crash.  and often.

(LOOT will resolve this for you)

I've been using LOOT for my load order.

 

Though I turned off all of my mods to try and sort out which one might be the problem but it's CTD from loading a game without any mods on.

You shouldn't load a game without your mods on.  Instead...

 

back up your saves.  

Start a new game

See if you CTD.

 

Mods will always leave scripts running in the save.  

If you disable them, you will have orphaned scripts that are running without any direction.

This causes the game to be unhappy.. and it will crash to spite you for its miserable existence.

Is the skyrim directory clean as well?  as in no SKSE plugins, ENBs,  etc?  

If that is the case you could check to make sure your drivers are all up to date.

If all else fails try a reinstall.
