Crash When I Kill An Enemy

Hiya! I've googled the heck out of this, but I can't find any solutions.

 

Essentially, most of the time, if I kill an enemy, I get a CTD with no errors. It doesn't happen with every enemy, but it -is- consistent (if I reload the save and kill the same enemy, I crash again). It happens inside more than outside, but it still happens outside. On a potentially important note,

if I kill the enemy via the 'kill' command in the console, the game does not crash. However, what weapon/magic/etc I use doesn't matter and will still crash the game.

Things I've tried already:

 

Using Save Game Cleaner.

 

Using Savegame Script Scalpel. 

 

Starting a new game.

 

Redoing FNIS a few times (apparently this can help.)

Using the latest version of NMM, load order done via LOOT.

I used to have a similar issue due to the slow motion killcam.

If you do not care about the slowmo killlcam.. you can add the following lines to SKYRIM.INI

 

add:

 

[VATS]

bVATSDisable=1

 

NOTE: Be sure to BACK UP YOUR INI files before making any changes

 

Also.. if you use netimmerse override.. anything that overrides the head texture will crash your game most of the time if the outcome results in decapitation.

NIoverride disables head textures by default initially..  so if you did not change anything in the ini file.. you can disregard this note.

 

 

In my experience.. papyrus logs are all but useless in discovering crash problems.

you should disable your papyrus logging at all times because that in itself can cause your game to crash as the log becomes bloated.
