demongoat Posted August 1, 2011 Posted August 1, 2011 so.. i was thinking, you know what would be cool? adding mods that people might find useful or cool. so i'm going to add some! first is a cool obge mod that i think everyone would find useful if they don't know about it and use obge http://shy.jsphr.net/upload/img/ups26400.zip - if you use obge you know you have to click an item to use it right? well this gives you an on screen toggle of all your effects without needing to open anything! can change pretty much all variables *warning* not advisable to use the item if you use this mod. also i found it doesn't work well with obgev3, though i think obge is just broken. http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=35343 - VipCxj's radar system! immersion breaking but a wonderful mod none the less, heck all of his mods are awesome. http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=35688 -for reskin and english ini by sprintersan. http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=26220 - ever feel lost and too lazy to open your map? here we go a mini map element! you can zoom in and out on all that stuff. http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=36261 - from the guy who made estrus comes his own animation overhaul! though it takes a bit to set up you will wonder why you didn't! nothing like all the awesome animations that you can find, any and all will work and it doesn't conflict with lovers since it is only attack animations and movement animations! also: http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=31431 - a hud clock! now you will know what time it really is lol, can change the font and everything. will see what else i can find!
nabaeru Posted August 2, 2011 Posted August 2, 2011 Well, this is my first post here. 1. OBGE. Oblivion Graphic Extender. With custom shaders, you can make your oblivion look pretty. Blinding sun effect, thick fog, outlines, motion blur, etc. Be warned though. Activating OBGE will disable your Anti-Aliasing, so your screenshots will look quite jagged if you are not forcing antialiasing through your graphic card. Ah, one thing about the OBGE support plugin. You are better off installing the whole OBGE, but unchecked (deactivate) the shader activation item. It will take off much burden from your Oblivion. 2. Radar is more suitable for Fallout, but hey, with mods you can pretty much bring TRANSFORMERS into Oblivion, not really following the lore but hey, whatever goes. 3. Overall an be very useful for some quests, especially like finding the shrines. 4. Convenient, especially if you set the timescale high and you need to know what the time is.
leddis3 Posted August 2, 2011 Posted August 2, 2011 Using the default Oblivion UI skin for the radar makes it more immersive and fits in though. Also TES has it's own giant robots. :>

roninvoid Posted August 3, 2011 Posted August 3, 2011 I'm trying to use the animation overhaul from the first post, but it doesn't seem to be working properly for me. The manual/readme says that OBSE v20 beta 5 is needed, but I can't seem to find it. Would someone mind posting a link to it? (Somewhere else I read that it actually needs v20b6... Can anyone confirm this?)
O_O Posted August 3, 2011 Posted August 3, 2011 I think, but I'm not sure, that the later version of OBSE (v20) is now a stable release, so it's newer than the beta version. In any case, OBSE can be found at http://obse.silverlock.org/

It might be something I've done to my game, but I'd like to see if it might just be a need to upgrade OBSE.

roninvoid Posted August 3, 2011 Posted August 3, 2011 I checked the readme and it says it only requires OBSE, not OBGE. I currently don't have OBGE.
demongoat Posted August 3, 2011 Author Posted August 3, 2011 I checked the readme and it says it only requires OBSE' date=' not OBGE. I currently don't have OBGE. [/quote'] well no, it needs both, it is a graphics controller, so it needs the graphics extender. ie: obge obge needs obse to work, so you need both.

Okay, I downloaded OBGE v2 and installed it according to what's written in the readme... Although for the Shaderlist I'm not sure if I have to add anything. Should that be it, or is there some more stuff I have to do that wasn't explained there? (I used the pack from http://modsreloaded.com/obge ) EDIT: I have it working now. Thanks for the help.
