Mods no longer work after trying to start game without steam opened.

While I was away my desktop restarted itself after an automatic windows 10 update. The next day I tried to start the fo4se through the mod organizer and choose "no" when it asked to launch steam because I thought steam drm wasn't like that but got an error.

I log into my steam and started the game again and now I am getting the save relies on missing content message and all of my mods are disabled even though they are all activated in mod organizer.

Have you checked plugins.txt to make sure it's not read only? I had that missing content error including fallout 4.esm.

Yes I remember that from last time it stopped working.

 

I deleted the game and organizer and reinstalled the. Now it works again.
