Mod conflict/load order issue?

Ok.  First time I've seen this problem, though I've been poking at my mod list, adding a few additional mods to it. Trying to set up for an alternate start vampire playthrough, and as soon as I use the bed in the cell to start things off, well....all of the generic unnamed NPC vampires are nude (both male and female), with head/body texture mismatch on at least the females.  Here's my load order as it sits right now, properly LOOTed, TES5Merged and Bashed:

Edit: female body replacer is UUNP Special, if that info is helpful. Disabled plugins are either .bsa dummies or merged to the bashed patch (tried without those merged, but they're pretty much just levelled lists to get gear/items into the game, so made no difference).  Also, I'm using MO.

 

Edit 2: both male and female vampires have ugly faces...

 

Edit 3: found the naked problem, it was in the Cloaks of Skyrim USLEEP Patch (I had used the swap masters script for USKP -> USLEEP). It gave them cloaks and forgot to give them their clothes

 

Still need to figure out the orc faces and skin mismatch, though...

If these mods alter the same thing, an activator (a bed), and Alternate Start - Live Another Life (ASLAL), also touch it then it's likely what's causing your issue.

Try to move both mods after ASLAL and if that doesn't help then placed them after the bashed patch.

 

You can also load these mods and ASLAL, by right clicking on Skyrim.esm and click on "Select None" then on these mods and ASLAL, in TES5Edit and check for conflicts.

 

Should you still have problems then the best thing you can do is to report it to the original author(s).

Hmm.  It's possible.  Before I was using Immersive Beds until I read something that suggested it had problems and Go To Bed was better with lighter script load.  Not sure how that would glitch vampire appearance, though.

 

Edit:  Checked, no conflicts.  ASLAL's bed is an activator, a "Fake Bed" instead of furniture. It's only using the model and textures of a bed. Go To Bed functions on Furniture, beds and coffins.

 

And from looking at it in TES5Edit, Go To Bed is a VERY lightweight mod.

I should probably clear out some of the mods I'm not needing on this playthrough, like Race Compatibility, since I'm not using a custom race, or the addons to ASLAL since the vampire start is in the base mod.

Perhaps this can help you to solve mismatched faces for Orc's.

Umm.  The problem is NPC vampires, not orcs.  They look like they have orc faces

Edit:  there could be more that I could or maybe even should pull out.  for instance, I'm not sure whether Devious Regulations and the Civil War Overhaul (CWO) will play nicely together.

Getting closer! Assuming that one of the female vampire fledgelings in pinemoon cave is an orc, then I'm down to the texture mismatch. The geometry problem was a file conflict order problem, where Eyes of Beauty had facegen data overwriting BVFE's geometry.

Ok, looks like the texture set I had installed for UNP didn't cover all races

 

Think maybe all I need to do at this point is get the burnt look off the faces. We'll see if I need to hunt down facegen geometry for any additional generic NPCs or not.
