SetBody 2ch-Edition TSpec / BBB designer body spell?

im hoping somone here can spare me a huge headache and tell me if this will work befor i start.

 

i have SetBody 2ch-Edition TSpec and BBB designer body spell

 

dilemma!

 

not all the upperbody.nif in SetBody 2ch-Edition TSpec are BBB

 

however ALL the Meshes in BBB designer body spell have BBB!

 

the .esp in both are named the same and that leads me to believe

 

that

 

SetBody 2ch-Edition TSpec came after or was made useing the same

 

script...

 

now my question is if i were to extract all the meshes from

 

BBB designer body spell and over wright the existing NON BBB .nif(s)

 

in SetBody 2ch-Edition TSpec would it work without editing the .esp?

 

these 2 mods seem to work the same way only SetBody 2ch-Edition TSpec

 

has far mor body meshes.

 

but they do not work if ran at the same time...

 

iv tryed contacting Electro on this matter and nothing!

 

let me know befor i start this

I did that once and it worked for me (with just one speciffic .nif.i've never tried it with a bunch of them but in theory i don't see why it wouldn't work).If you're gonna do it,just make sure that you'll make a backup of the ones you're gonna replace.

If it'll work,i suggest to make a new file,throw in a copy of all TSpec files (along with its .esp),replace there the .nif files and them turn that into an omod."Why?" Because,if for some reason you'll have to reinstall oblivion or just reinstall the mods (you never know) you'll have your custom mod ready to go.

 

Heads up: When you install files by dragging-and-dropping,when you'll unistall that mod,those files will remain there.That's why personally i turn everything into an omod first and then i install.

I don't see why it would not work.

 

"SetBody 2ch-Edition TSpec" works with clothes, which all point to the same folder. For example,

 

\data\meshes\characters\Bombshell\SPB01 Pochari Body\Yaya Pochari\femaleupperbody.nif

As long as you replace the models of 2ch with the same models (same name) of BBB designer, there shouldn't be any issue.

 

It might just be time consuming, to match the corresponding models, a bit like a puzzle.

That's exactly what I did - it works fine.

 

I also overwrote the lowerbody nifs with BBButts verions (should be included with the designer body spell), and replaced meshes I don't use (the "waifish" ones and AGHGEC) with meshes I prefer - like Speedbuster's heavy-set body.

ok check it out guys i merged all the SetBody 2ch-Edition TSpec and

 

BBB Designer body Spell over wrighting all the non BBB meshes with

 

BBB meshes and the Better Bouncing Butts :D

 

i have tested it and it works fine for me.

 

can i have a few people copy their /Bombshell file and SetBody.esp

 

install this one and give it a try?

 

just because it worked for me dont mean a thing!

 

let me know how i did and i will make changes as needed!

what bodies were you looking to add?

 

 

Custom bodies for a certain CM project I'm working on with someone. These bodies are meant for the partners and noone else. Is it something with the scripting?

i had the problem of the no-bounciness with some bodies, specially growlf ones... so i went to tesnexus and found this

i went to the bombshell folder in characters and replaced every body for it's bbb version counterpart... that should make setbody 2ch as bouncy as designer body, so i guess yours will work perfectly fine for everyone

you had a problem with the bounce in the one i edited?

 

i just looked at growlf and it looked fine to me i checked it again

 

to be sure...

 

if anyone else has this issue let me know and i will strip it down

Technically it's a DMRA type body, but there's also the option for an HGEC type. What I'd like to do is have a setbody that only works with those bodies and merge that esp with the CM esp and bundle everything into a BSA. I'm working on this mod with a friend from here. And if it gets released and people here start using it, they'll know exactly who I'm working with. What I'm trying to figure out is the setbody portion as well as some other things. I feel that the setbody part is one of the biggest hurdles I'm having to deal with. If this was like the hair/eye changing mod, there might not be a problem, except the glitch where it affects me too.

all that sounds grate but why make it into a .bsa?

 

DMRA and HGEC only, but they are custom and you

 

only want those 2 types in your set body menu....

 

ok i can see that.

 

what i would do is keep the base scripting for set body

 

rename the body selection menu names to the body meshes

 

folder that you will be useing for your meshes and delete

 

the rest form the script and your mesh folder.

 

in this case that would be the Bombshell folder if im

 

not mistaken...

 

im curious who you are working with now!

I wouldn't know where to find it in the scripting. You would have to have a picture of the scripting and circle what needs to be changed/removed. I'd say who, what he's also busy with other projects and it's already enough I'm talking to him about it. In fact I took over the main work because he got sick of looking at it. He already did most of it anyway; just a few things that need to get done/ironed out. In fact, I feel very close to a releasable mod.

im sure if he wants it in a .bsa there is a damn good reason

 

i have 1 main project going at the moment.

there are a lot of things about this race that must be made perfect!

 

the weapon in a skull wreathed in a blue aura like flame as a low lvl

 

weapon then later to a purple vortex like aura, the first person

 

meshes must be made to hold the weapon in the palm of your hand but it

 

works like a mage staff. a spell must be made to soultrap and kill the

 

victims of weaker prey to feed soulgems, and a system must be made for

 

the soul gems to do more powerful spells using the harvested souls as

 

magica in a way, a system must be made to give the player, better

 

(soul) spells as the player advances in level and a script must be

 

made to either make a set amount of soulgems 6 or 8 special soulgems

 

as quest items that cant be dropped that hold these souls but can not

 

be used for enchanting and i have to do that in a way that dose not

 

conflict with the standard soulgem scripting....

 

lots of pen to paper on this mod....

 

also there has to be a Robe/armor line that works like leveled armor

 

like normally dose in oblivion, the night shadow race will come with

 

wings and will be fly or hover and what i mean is that you change your

 

run animation to a fly animation it will still be named as a run

 

animation in oblivion but it will look like your flying it will be

 

toggled and the benefit of it is increased speed with an idle wing

 

flap animation while your player hovers. its a lot of work so far not

 

to mention the time in blender...

 

my eyes hurt

I'm afraid I have no idea how to convert .bm into .nif. I would need the actual wing mesh/textures. They could go a long way to completing the CM project.
