Fallout 4 Texture and Graphics Thread

Hi all,

 

I want to start - yet antother - texture and graphics issue thread.

These are some of the ingame screenshots I´ve crated with my current rig:

 

• i7 (6 core, 3.4ghz)
• gtx 1080
• 32gb ram

 

Rig should be overkill for this game.

But as you can see the textures do have a general washed / faded look.

What instant came to my mind was: Wow! FO4 looks bad.

 

So my question is: Does FO4 realy look that bad?

I thought the game comes with 4K textures (4096 x 4096) ... I can´t see them...

 

My configuration for textures is extreme.

I did not tweak around with the config files.

 

Also I already tried to fix this "issue" by forcing the VRAM with the ENB from http://enbdev.com/.

Maybe we can use this thread to collect these issues and try to come up with some workarounds or even fixes.

 

An help with this is appreceated. I want to play this game in high-res.

Your rig has nothing to do with the texture res basically. You pick the texture res from the options or edit in the ini, but that's it. This is why texture mods in general is popular and I'd advice you to take a look at Nexus or here if it's re-uploaded for some texture mods. I also agree with you. The vanilla fo4 textures are one of the most washed out textures I've ever seen in a game. They are indeed shite I'd say.

I have pretty much the same rig as you and honestly there isnt much you can do at the moment. Like JN273 said, the graphics are shit.

I mean, you could always try checking out here though, http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/17720/? might help. Personally, I'd like to know what kind of fps you get ha, mine isn't as great as I hoped for with a 1080 : p
