Weird, massive stutter in some areas.

Hey there,

 

My game is 99.9% stable. No CTD. However in some areas I get really bad stutter.

I've been modding skyrim for a very long time and this type of stutter seems off somehow. I'm pretty sure it's not related to my hardware.

 

So I was visiting one of the orc strongholds (the one with the quest for malacath)

Every time I turned my camera around I got 1-2 second long spikes.  when looking in certain directions.

 

This stronghold is a really weird area to stutter in. So I saved my game, looked around at the npcs and I disabled Ugor.

BAM my game was running smoothly again.

 

My first though was, does some of my npc have the wrong skeleton? so I exit my game and went to look in the meshes folder but I only have bijin affecting ugor and it doesn't have a skeleton.

 

So I restart my game and load up the save before I disabled ugor but now everything is fine.

 

 

Also this has happened to me in riften and Dawnstar aswell. Sometimes I go there I have no stutter at all then later on I will be spiking out like crazy.

 

I know something is messing with my game but I just can't find out what it is.

If anyone has experienced something similiar and could help me out that would be great.

I don't know why this could happen, but if it is related to your NPCs and if it stops once they respawn, you could go by opening the console, click on the culprit to show its ID, then type in: disable - and right away: enable

That 'resets' the NPC without you having to disable the mod.

 

It's possibly just a work around but that's everything I can come up with for now. ^^"
