zackissuper Posted August 3, 2016 Posted August 3, 2016 I have a problem in Blender where, whenever I use my selection to create a separate Object, it corrupts the vertex IDs and creates the "crisscross" distortion on my model. I think this problem is new for me actually, I'm pretty sure I used Objects before... anyone run in to this problem or have any ideas on how to fix it? I've made super-sure that I imported/exported with vertex IDs. Thanks.
Cyric Posted August 3, 2016 Posted August 3, 2016 When I use Blender (2.75), I just... 1. Import tmc mesh file. 2. Go into edit mode (and click the "remove doubles" button once in there) 3. Select what I want to separate and press "p" 4. Then I can export or edit it as a separate/new object, or ctrl+j (in object mode) to join it to another existing object. I've never had any problems with corrupted vertex ids.
