Somebody please take a look at my Papyros log

Recommended Posts

Hello there,

for some reasons I get all these errors. I don't really see an effect in game so it doesn't seem to bother me except for the fact that I got like a billion of those entries after each session.

I might have to add that running XP doesn't let me run FNIS in the usual way. I have to do it manually which works well but then again I do get all these errors and wonder if that is just normal or due to how I use FNIS or may be something completly different?

So many possibilities, so many questions...

If anyone out there can clear up this mist for me a bit I would be most grateful.

This is just a piece of the log so imagine this like 6 times bigger. Pretty much my first post where I could have used that "spoiler" thingy but I didn't find it before my patience ran out. Sorry about that.

You are missing essential things in order to help you:

First a loadorder only thing one can see in this way to small part of the log is xpmse

Second a proper log not just milisecond of it

Third of topic, but why do you still use xp? I could understand you dont use win10, but why the hell xp just curious

So pls give the papyrus guys here something they may can work with a full log (if you dont find a spoiler button just type [/spo iler] "text" [spo iler] without the spaces obviously) or simply attach the log file to your post

I would not mind finding errors as long as everything works as you want it too what I would worry about are such stack dumps

[06/04/2016 - 03:00:19PM] VM is freezing...
[06/04/2016 - 03:00:19PM] VM is frozen
[06/04/2016 - 03:00:19PM] Dumping stack 1598073:

but as said with only this milisecond of the log what should one see in there

if you want to do something until someone with a bit papyrus insight looks your hopefully then postet log try a new game and see if you also get the errors and stack dumps if not your savegame is just a trashdump due installing/uninstalling/updating, but cant really say anything else with that small part and without loadorder

My hope was a small snippet would be enough and that this is a common thing and nothing unusual.

But thanks for your time to clear things up.

Well, first of all. Why still XP?  I have to laugh at myself a bit at this point. I guess I missed to jump on the train to take me further in time. But!! XP is a very good OS and never let me down. Just as of late it seems to be a bit older than I would like it to be. The second truth is that I require more than just a new OS. I require a whole new computer and most of all the money to buy one. So, all in good time and so far I managed to get pretty much everything I want running. Even though I had to be creative with FNIS to get it to work for me.

Anyway...

Before you look at load orders and suffer a heart attack. There are two reasons why I am sure they are not the way they should be. Mainly because I am running XP therefor MO v1.2.18 which means I can't use LOOT. I don't have access to the master list. And the second reason is that I actually managed to somehow have MO uncheck all my plugins and sort them by name just by leaving the game, after a crash or not, I can't remember. I was playing around with new mods and ... yeah.

Nevertheless, I dare to call my game a pretty stable one. May be this current setup needs a few more fixes. The error messages

If you need any more information please let me know.

Before you ask "Fnis april"  are my 'FNISed' meshes and some scripts which FNIS seems to require here and there. I threw all the XPSME stuff in there as well to the best of my knowledge.

I do have these error messages from the day I run papyros logs but failed to learn more details. It is just that when my game actually crashes all I ever find in my log are lines like "cannot fetch variable named FNISaa_magatk_crc of type int, returning 0."

The data dump may or may not be something new. I activated all of the logging settings as of late before I somehow missed out the fourth option. Which one is it anyway? bLoadDebugInformation ?

Anyway, you find my loadorder, my plugins load order and the latest papyrus.log attached.

Thanks so much in advance!! Don't waste your precious time on this issue though. I can live and more importantly I can play with this issue around.

I am not going to get into the whole old MO XP thing because i wouldnt know what to say :P

Apparently there is something going on with XPMS Skeleton scaling. Try reinstalling it and leave all the fomod option to default (no animations, no randomized styles, etc). I do not know what version you are using, but make sure you get the latest since in one of the most recent updates some scaling issues were fixed.

http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/68000/?

From your load order and plugin list i gather that your skeleton is loaded at the very bottom, but just in case make sure on the left panel of MO that nothing is overwriting it.

Dont worry about LOOT, as long as you get an idea of what mod does what you can always arange it manually.

Not related to your problem but unofficial patches are a little bit scrambled. If you are not going to use USLEEP  http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/71214/? (you should since new mods will come out with compatibility with this one) then at least put them ir order

Well, I would but to be able to properly use that one I need a higher version of Mod Organizer :P

I don't know what they did with that compilation but it is wasn't good, for me at least. Of course I could switch to Nexus Mod Manager but ...ugh, nevermind me saying that one.

Oh, yes, the skyrim basic load order.. a piece that got messed up after running that built-in sort function of MO.

OH!! A new version of XPSME. May be that will do the trick !

Thanks you for your time :)

For the xp thing I understand money is allways an issue, well you may not like to hear that, but if money is your problem I would go for win10. I can only speak for myself I dont have a single problem you can disable most of what people complain about like auto updating with a bit of google knowledge.

If you dont like win10 which i can understand I would go for win7 as you spoke about a stable system you are good to go with win7, but as its a case of money for you I dont want to recommend it. On amazon it costs for me 30€ dont know about your finances there would be other ways tough guess you know what i mean.

I'd really update the os you have to use so many workarounds new software has no support on it and the whole system has no support anymore.

Well that for windows I dont wanted the loadorder to correct it in this case, but its allways good for someone who stumbles over your thread to see your log as a whole and to be able to quickly see which mods you use that may interfere or whatever.

If you want to interpret errors and their meaning you may look at this list its a good reference

http://afkmods.iguanadons.net/index.php?/topic/4129-skyrim-interpreting-papyrus-log-errors/

Overall I allready told you my point of view "never change a running system" if your game runs fine dont mess it up by doing weird things, but if there are errors that may lead to problems you may want to try a bit around.

I also crash sometimes guess everyone does you should just remember it if it happens on the same circumstances then you have a problem.

So now for your log

Cannot open store for class

Warning: Could not find type

Warning: Unable to get type

This is what's known as an orphaned script (pun not intended here btw). It is caused either by uninstalling a mod, or by updating a mod which no longer has the mentioned script. It is generally harmless, but can sometimes be the cause of a CTD. These are safe to remove using the save cleaner.

Error: Unable to bind script DLC2WaterScript to alias Water on quest DLC2TTF2 (0401AAC8) because their base types do not match.

(not from your log)

ERROR: Unable to bind script

This error is caused by a script extending one type but being used on an incorrect type. In this particular instance, DLC2WaterScript incorrectly extended ObjectReference when it should have extended ReferenceAlias. This is an error that must be corrected by the mod's author. It should self correct when the game loads after it's been fixed, but only once the content is no longer actively being used.

Example:

From my log:

ERROR: Unable to bind script JaxonzEnhGrabObject to JaxonzEnhGrabUpdateQuest (DF000D62) because their base types do not match

From your log:

ERROR: Unable to bind script JaxonzEnhGrabObject to JaxonzEnhGrabUpdateQuest (1E000D62) because their base types do not match

So I cant tell you in this case if its true that its a thing the author would need to fix, but If I have the exact same 2 error lines I would say its much likley its correct.

Warning: Property xxx on script xxx attached to alias PlayerAlias

This is actually an error generated because of an ESP rather than a script. It means the script was recompiled, a property was removed, but the ESP that accompanies it was not properly updated to remove the property. This is easily fixed by the mod's author. It will cause no damage, but it's annoying, and definitely not correct.

Error: Property xxx on script xxx attached to xxx (020058C7) cannot be bound because <NULL alias> (54) on <NULL quest> (xxx) is not the right type

This is an indication that there are properties on one quest which are linked back to another where the quest record has been overridden by another mod and is blocking the "NULL Alias". The conflicting mod will either require a patch, or should include the missing data where possible. If this type of error happens entirely within a mod and DOES NOT conflict, then it means there are properties linked to aliases that have been deleted from a quest without the author properly cleaning up the remains.

Error: File "HearthfireMultiKid.esp" does not exist or is not currently loaded.

stack:

    <unknown self>.Game.GetFormFromFile() - "<native>" Line ?

    [ARTHRRFMoveFamilyToSeverinManor (4F0036C9)].arth_rrf_storeregistration.ModSupportChecks() - "ARTH_RRF_StoreRegistration.psc" Line 50

    [alias Player on quest ARTHRRFMoveFamilyToSeverinManor (4F0036C9)].ARTH_RRF_PlayerAliasScript.OnPlayerLoadGame() - "ARTH_RRF_PlayerAliasScript.psc" Line 7

(not from your log)

Probably the most common type of "error" you're going to see in the log. This isn't actually an error at all. It's a generic message spit out by one of the vanilla game functions that's used to check for the presence of other mods in your game. It just means that the mod it says doesn't exist is not being loaded right now. Ignore these.

Sof far so good I may add some more, but I have enough text for now with the link I gave you you may look things up yourself just copy the error without a specific mod like (Error: Property) then search it on the website there is not everything, but quite a lot of information.

Edit:

Error: Unable to call RegisterForSingleUpdate

There is largely nothing that can be done about errors of this type. When a magic effect is ready to expire, the Papyrus VM will aggressively destroy the instance of the script. It will generate errors like this if the script had an event pending before this happened. Ignore these unless you know for certain what's causing it.

In the following example function the animation var "FNISflags" has not been defined.

xxx uninteresting for us

This will generate an error in the Papryus Log. e.g.:

[09/14/2013 - 10:34:37PM] Error: (00000014): cannot fetch variable named FNISflags of type int, returning 0.

stack:

That is one of the things you worried about so as its known I guess (I dont know for sure) its nothing you should worry about if your mod is up to date

I dont find such a message in non of my actual logs

Just make sure your xpsme is up to date and your FNIS workaround (I dont know anything about that) is correct

So just searched for more and stumbled across this:

http://www.loverslab.com/topic/25971-xp32-maximum-skeleton-extended-xpmse/page-136?do=findComment&comment=1272142

its from fore himself so you can rely on it.

Groov, did I miss something here, or when I answerd your pm?

The error cannot find variable named FNIS_1hm_dual_Select. simply comes when FNIS isn't run with the Racemenu/XPMSE patch, and when the custom weapequip isn't installed. Then these anim vars are not defined, and the engine (unfortunately) issues the error message.

But basically this is a user (installation) error.

Awnser from Groove:

The error happens to me, too, the error happens OnCellDetach in the cleanup function, I guess skyrim unloads all the animvars for the actor and they can't be set to something else or reseted to default anymore. I removed the animvar reseting from the cleanup function, and will see if it causes problems or not.

The error did never happen in a RaceMenuWeaponPlugin or in the Restyling function which had the exact lines of code, only OnCellDetach -> Cleanup(). That means unloaded actor, SetAnimationVariableInt() -> Skyrim says No.

So I dont know if this got fixed changed whatever as said make sure everything related to xpmse/racemenu/fnis is correct and up to date

Holy moly your log from my limited knowledge gets spammed and flooded with these for a whole hour

cannot fetch variable named FNIS

stack:

    [ (0002C82D)].Actor.GetAnimationVariableInt() - "<native>" Line ?

    [Active effect 3 on  (0002C82D)].XPMSEWeaponStyleScaleEffect.GetAnimVarCRC() - "XPMSEWeaponStyleScaleEffect.psc" Line 1346

    [Active effect 3 on  (0002C82D)].XPMSEWeaponStyleScaleEffect.transferFNISData() - "XPMSEWeaponStyleScaleEffect.psc" Line 1350

    [Active effect 3 on  (0002C82D)].XPMSEWeaponStyleScaleEffect.Restyle() - "XPMSEWeaponStyleScaleEffect.psc" Line 1034

    [Active effect 3 on  (0002C82D)].XPMSEWeaponStyleScaleEffect.OnObjectEquipped() - "XPMSEWeaponStyleScaleEffect.psc" Line ?

[06/04/2016 - 04:51:14PM] ERROR:  (0002C82D): cannot fetch variable named FNISaa_magatk of type int, returning 0.

That seems to result in dumping stacks (papyrus overflow) at 05:00

[06/04/2016 - 05:00:43PM] Suspended stack count is over our warning threshold, dumping stacks:

Do you notice the stack dumps in the game? lag?

Its dumping stacks for 2min. then goes on spaming until 05:19 it starts again dumping

So if you want to take care about something this is it as said now a few times make sure your FNIS workaround is correct and installation is correct and up to date same for XPMSE and Racemenu as the error often comes with scaling

Then see if you have the "cannot fetch variable named FNISXXXXXX" etc. again if so you may get improved support in either xpmse thread or fnis thread. All other errors and warnings I would not mind guess if you read all of this you know what you want to change.

Sorry for the long post and dont worry about my time btw if you dont need the papyrus log to evaluate some errors or whatever disable it while just playing even logging costs resources

If you struggle with rnd ctd's you may get rid of the headtracking mod dont know if you really need or want that, but as far as I know its a quite intensive mod like footprints just saying if you struggle if not nothing to care about.

  • 2 weeks later...

Oh, I missed that answer until now.

Anyway, for all those who wonder about my so called FNIS workaround, it is simple. I just take all the meshes and scripts folders from all those mods that fiddle around with animations and copy them into an extra folder together with FNIS. Once that's done I run FNIS, zip the meshes and scripts file and install it as a mod in MO. Putting that at the end of my loadorder it overwrites everything that needs to be overwritten. Not that I know what I am doing but it works. I have no clue if I need to include scripts actually. I don't understand why the scripts but I remember issues without them included.

Well, probably nothing anyone cares about but there might be yet another Win XP user out there if I am not the last Mohican who has not given up modding with XP yet. At least it helps you to understand what I am doing.

Thanks you for all the information. Real life issues right now are at hand and once that's done, I have the time to worry about the details of my next OS. I guess I just go for Win 10 btw. I am not one of those types who get a new rig or OS every year so that way I am probably set up for the next few years and to be prepared for whatever technology comes next not just catching up a little like I did last time.

I am not afraid of quirks that Win10 has. Everytime a new version comes out it is about how bad everything is especially if the company is named Microsoft or Bethesda :)
