CBBE Bodyslide Arm/Ankle gap [Fixed]

This has been a persistent issue for me since I started playing Skyrim. Essentially, when a character has no cuirass equipped, there will be a gap between her forearm and hands, and shins and ankles, in addition to the forearms being visible through other objects including the character. When armor is equipped though, the gap is filled with arm - I could go to the length of taking screens but I'm not sure how much help it'd be. 

I can resolve this issue by 1: typing in "showracemenu" and exiting out of it twice, but it only fixes the issue for the PC, any NPCs are still subject to this issue; or 2: if I build a body with "Racemenu morphs" unchecked in Bodyslide, the issue is gone - the problem there is it seems some mods are dependent on it, plus the PC's body is the same as everyone else's.

Now I'm no techno-wizard, just wondering if anyone else has encountered the same issue, and whether you were able to fix it - if so, how?

Attempted solutions:

Rebuilding body in Bodyslide with/without Racemenu Morphs checked (Without works but is not desired)

Checking/Unchecking Skeleton Arm Fix and updating FNIS

Updating Bodyslide to 3.1a

Reinstalled CBBE and Bodyslide + updated FNIS and LOOT

Disabled HDTHighHeel + dependents

Installed XP32MS instead of MSE

Installing a different hand mesh
