Hey guys' date=' I came across this picture while browsing NVmods on nexus and would like to know if anyone can identify what skin & body mod this is?

It's simply the best oily/wet skin mod out there in my opinion.

Any help would be much appreciated!

Could be the Skinny body with that wet skin texture somewhere around in NV Nexus.

Honestly that looks terrible.

The so-called ''oily skin'' effect.

Its the default cubemap used there, and it doesn't really achieve the look of 'oily', more like 'fake glassy'.

If you cannot find that in a mod, then simply do it yourself by adding the Shader Flag then Value 32769 (so its not so shiny in low light) and make the 4th texture slot point to a GOOD cubemap, instead of that default 'glass' one.

whats even worse is he RUINED the shoes too!!!

MY GOD, he even added that SAME default 'glass' cubemap to the shoes.

The shoes would look amazing if a nice 'slick red' slightly metallic cubemap were used instead. Seeing those nb'ish mistakes makes me want to download that mod simply so i can fix it myself and see how great those shoes *could* be.

From what I've seen in the skinny shop screens a lot of the armors have that shiny effect.

Sorry to hear that :s

Its a common mistake made by people who are not aware there is a 'proper' way to go about adding Environtment mapping/Cubemapping.

I'm sure a lot of said armors in the Skinny shop could look twice as good if proper cubemapping was done :-/

I always used the specular map + body gloss thing. Never used env/cube maps.

I'm sorry to hear that.

You can consider using env/cube maps in the future' date=' so that your material will look better and better. :)

If you need any guidance, or even cubemaps, feel free to ask me.

I have over 100 cubemaps of my own, and I did in fact make those 2 pics i posted up there. ;)

This one too --> http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/imageshare/images/1026866-1330930294.jpg

Every mod has room for improvement, especially ones with ANYTHING metal, glass, jewels, or just generally looking 'reflective' or shiny. :exclamation:

Nice :)

Would this yield better result for oily/wet skin? The specular+glossiness trick works pretty well for skin.

Yes, it most totally would.

What you are seeing on the 'oily skin' trick you talk about, is in fact the default 'shine' cubemap rendering on your char's body.

By using a 'better' cubemap than the default, your oily skin could look pretty realistically oily!
