Stability Problems

Recommended Posts

Hey guys,

I’ve been having a problem.  I am trying to get a stable build for skyrim, but I’m running into a problem.  I’ll load a save (multiple different ones) and It’ll crash to desktop, but if I try it enough times it will load fine and not crash thereafter.  Some quick saves seem to work.  To check, I’ll keep deactivating mods and reverting to older builds and saves, but I just can’t figure out what is causing the instability.  Also, I'm using Mod Organizer and was very careful to ensure that all the masters and requirements are met; everything pre-Loverslab is confirmed stable (by itself, anyway).

Did you run LOOT, because your unofficial patches are buggered.

think your Death Alternative esm is wrong too. Try making it the last esm after Devious Devices Integration esm. It's the last esm in my load but your mods are different, so I'm not sure if it should be last. Just a guess lol.

Are you using MO or NMM? You can also run your load order through TES5Edit and look for errors, but I'd try LOOT first.

it dosent matter if death alternative is the last esm or not also it dosent matter where the unofficial patches are as long as they are behind the esm's they are working with so its absolutly fine the way it is. Loot also not sorts mods the same for every user it not even sorts the same when you start it a few times in a row thats because it often dosent really matter, but enough about that.

he also states that he uses MO

As for the OP here if you really dont use loot start using it

these load issues are a common problem usuall it is only the first savegame load if you load another savegame after that it works fine. IF this is the case for you you simply have to load a savegame with a small cell before loading your actual savegame this is the workaround that fixes this problem best "startup" savegame would be a small cell like with alternate start the prison cell and a really new game with few scripts running.

What also helps for such problems is SKSE memory patch aka Shensons memory patch if you dont have it allready do the following:

1. Download and install SKSE 1.7.1

2. Go to Steam/steamapps/common/Skyrim/Data and see if you have a SKSE folder with an SKSE.ini file inside. If you do, add these values to SKSE.ini:

[General]

ClearInvalidRegistrations=1

[Display]

iTintTextureResolution=2048

[Memory]

defaultHeapInitialAllocMB=768

scrapHeapSizeMB=256

If you don't have an SKSE.ini file, create one using the editor save it as SKSE.ini
