Help understanding HDT.

So I am cureently using UNP HDT-PE body (using XPMS Extended 2.2) with Tiwa44 Mini dress collection & sexy vanilla armor replacer for UNP (both are BBP compatible).

The problem is I have HDT physics on the body, but none of the armors/clothes. To my understanding, as long as the armor is BBP compatible, it should work right? Or am I missing something?
