Race armor issue

If anyone can help me with editing a custom race to use other armor. Have tried using Tes5edit to change some armor addon entries to defaultrace but I still cant get it to work. The race is Demonica 1.5 and it's for personal use only. Any help would be appreciated.

 

 

EDIT: Did some research and think I've got it sorted.
