Yururin Posted August 18, 2014 Posted August 18, 2014 Ok so...HDT seems to just...not work when im using Mod Organizer. I put it manually into Skyrims Data/SKSE/Plugins Folder. Didnt work. Tried installing via Mod Organizer itself (Properly/Manual). Didnt work.. So im at a loss...is there a way to get this to work with Mod Organizer? Im using the latest HDT Extension.
imacarl Posted August 18, 2014 Posted August 18, 2014 isn't HDT supposed to be installed in Data/SKSE/Plugins
Yururin Posted August 18, 2014 Author Posted August 18, 2014 Sorry thats what i meant, thats where it is. I was just pointing to the parent directory :/
XJ347 Posted August 18, 2014 Posted August 18, 2014 Well HDT works with MO, I use it myself! I am trying the new HDT hair mod right now!
Yururin Posted August 18, 2014 Author Posted August 18, 2014 Thats what im tryin to use! But...its just not working. Whenever i go to select the hair...its not physics enabled. Im 100% Sure i have the Mod enabled as its in my Load Order. HDT is in the right place as well Skyrim/Data/SKSE/Plugins So...i dont see why its not working...
XJ347 Posted August 18, 2014 Posted August 18, 2014 OHHHHHHHH, the hair doesn't seem to be HDT active IN racemenu. Select the hair anyways and finish making your character. Does the hair move in game outside racemenu/ECE?
Yururin Posted August 18, 2014 Author Posted August 18, 2014 Hmm, no it doesnt. The Hair im trying to use is Niah's Long Hair Test. I have the new Nexus Hairs downloaded but i havent tried them yet. Im still puzzled why this hair wont work though. I just re-installed Skyrim today and started over with my mods. So there shouldnt be ANY conflicts. The only hair mods i have installed is Apachii. Plus the Long Hair HDT Test. Edit: Ok, the new styles from Nexus work. That means HDT is working, but the new Long Hair from Niah is not.
XJ347 Posted August 18, 2014 Posted August 18, 2014 The hair mods do not conflict. Nothing should conflict with this. Apachii is fine, just makes it harder to find the HDT hairs is all. I will look up this Niah's Long Hair Test. Ohhh I was talking about http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/57179/? OK brb looking up your hair issue.
Yururin Posted August 18, 2014 Author Posted August 18, 2014 the New Nexus Hairs Work, so my HDT is working. Although a bit on the crazy side in terms of the way they move, they work nontheless. Now all I have to do is figure out why the Long Hair isnt working from Niah...
XJ347 Posted August 18, 2014 Posted August 18, 2014 OK so this Niah's Long Hair Test Isnt from Female Hairstyles with Physics. What mod is this from?
Yururin Posted August 18, 2014 Author Posted August 18, 2014 Its here http://www.loverslab.com/topic/33259-making-hdt-long-hair-problems/page-4 Search the posts for the DL link. Also, is there a way to fix this jittering and crazy movement on the hair? Its kinda annoying
XJ347 Posted August 18, 2014 Posted August 18, 2014 ok ok ok The mod doesnt seem to be set up with the correct directory structure. It doesnt work on my game either. Let me see if I can fix it for you.
XJ347 Posted August 18, 2014 Posted August 18, 2014 So this is an apachi hair that some guy is trying to make into HDT... It has no texture in the mod since it assumes you have apachi hair installed.. Ok I jsut need to find where to properly place these things, then repackage the mod.
XJ347 Posted August 18, 2014 Posted August 18, 2014 Ok, I need to open this puppy up in the CK. This will be another 15 minutes or so.
Yururin Posted August 18, 2014 Author Posted August 18, 2014 I really appreciate you doing all this! Thanks so much! :3
XJ347 Posted August 18, 2014 Posted August 18, 2014 Hmmmm almost done, just need to find the right place to put the XML file.
XJ347 Posted August 18, 2014 Posted August 18, 2014 Here you go! This is MO installable. Note sure why the creator was SOOOOOO lazy and didn't put it in the correct format. He did good work though, it is a good start. Also note this requires Appachi installed for the texture to exist. As for the Jittery hair, I bet their is some tweak to fix it, but I dont know it off hand. EDIT: I messed up. I threw in the wrong esp file into the 7zip. Has no hair physics in the one I attached.
Yururin Posted August 18, 2014 Author Posted August 18, 2014 WOW! Thanks Bud! Gonna try it right now!
Yururin Posted August 18, 2014 Author Posted August 18, 2014 Ok, i installed it via MO, did manual and did the Data Folder thing. Said it was good. Tried it in game, but the hair isnt physics enabled. Im testing the right hair...right?
foxia Posted August 18, 2014 Posted August 18, 2014 That hair? I don't believe it's HDT Compatible. The only hairs I know of that are HDT COmpatible at all are: http://www.loverslab.com/topic/32281-demonica-hdt-hairs/ http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/57179/? http://www.loverslab.com/topic/27122-hdt-collisions-hair-physics-now-with-belly-support-updated-just-another-hdt-xml-file/ DOA Christie hair which I've not seen anywhere else. http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/47000/? http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/52516/? Demonica HDT hair already contains these two, so no need to download them if you get Demonica. But that is it, There is one more but it's still in the works. But those are the options, many other hairs haven't been converted to HDT yet.
spike903 Posted August 18, 2014 Posted August 18, 2014 My hairmod is still beta and not a official release, please keep that in mind. Also i used NMM and it worked. I'm switching the game to MO at the moment so i was not working on the mod anymore. I tried it out with MO but I also have problems with it. It seems to be more a conflict between MO and nifskoope then a problem with the mod itself. I'm sorry but i can't help you at the moment with it
Yururin Posted August 18, 2014 Author Posted August 18, 2014 ah i see, its fine then ^^ I can wait patiently for the final release if you make it. And i wish you the BEST of luck with it Thanks to everyone for your help! OFF TO FIGURE OUT HOW TO GET RID OF JITTERING HAIR!!! <3
XJ347 Posted August 18, 2014 Posted August 18, 2014 LOL I send the wrong esp.... I had it working last night it was late and messed up. Let me see if I can fix this for you. Fixed the esp I messed up last time. Niah's Long Hair Test.7z Once you get this to work, make sure to thank the guy who added in the hair physics IMO.
