[Idea] Some ideas on mods.

Hello everyone. :shy: Sorry for my poor English but I will try to make my ideas conveyed. And also it's my first topic here, so if my idea is conflicted with some one else's, please let me know and I will delete it.

Until now, the mods I'm using like Defeat, Solutions, Lovers' comfort and so on are all functional mods, but they have little scenario. I've come up with an idea of a dramatic mod. 

One day, for example, you found out that the yarl of Falkreath has a new woman servant and she tried to hide herself from the public. Talking to the jarl about the girl may start a  new mission. The Jarl is unwilling to tell you  the story. Now this mod will see if you are male or female. This will lead to different tasks and scenario. 

If you are female, you can make a deal with the jarl, if you catch my meaning. The story is, there has been a very powerful criminal in skyrim who wants very much to fuck every pretty girl in skyrim, by raping or seducing. The girl is pretty and she has been the next target of the criminal X. Due to fear, she come to the Jarl of Falkreath for  shelter and in exchange, she serve as the jarl's sex mate. As a heroine, your objective is to find the criminal X. Or, be his accomplice and help him achieve his goal. If you choose the former one, stop X raping someone in the wild by being the victim yourself. Make the female citizens living in the cities safe by "rewarding" the guards or male citizens. If you choose the later one, prostitude to win all the men's heart in the city where the target lives and create chance for X to win the target's heart easily(because all the male in this city now care only about you). Sometimes X will try to rape someone in the wild, but there are guards nearby. you need to prostitude to the guards to win time and create chance for X. After all the tasks are done, you and your accomplice has conquered skyrim. Both choice will lead to an end that more and more men will come to you and ask for sex because of your "reputation".

If you are male, you can try to let the girl tell the truth herself. You also have two choices here. If you decide to fight against X, when X decide to pursue someone in the city, you try to win her heart by doing quests for her or sending presents to her. And if you catch X flirting with the target and try to take her to someplace where he can take action, you must follow them and defeat him. Also, if you see X trying to rape a girl, defeat him. In both case, the girl will be grateful to you and ask to have sex with you. If you decide to be X's accomplice, help him catch the target's heart by doing quests. Each time you two succeed, you can take the target to a secret place where all pretty girls are kept and serve as slaves. You can come here at any time and do anything to the slaves. When the amount of slaves has reached a certain number, a whorehouse will open at this place and you two both become the boss of it.

 

These are just some primary thoughts. I wonder whether someone is interested and work it out. :D

Some logical issues with the story: The girl ran to the Jarl of Falkearth to avoid violation and rape, just to become the bitch and sextoy of the Jarl? That would be more logical if X would be a serial killer or a necrophobic necromancer or whatever, more brutal.

And its completely beliveable that women so eagerly offering their bodies after an almost rape situation.

If you want to make stories make them beliveable.

 

But I think the same, we lack story mods which are using sexmods.

It does help a lot if you can make the story believable. But related to that, you also need a hook to draw in the player. Take your example above with the female PC, you present 3 possibilities for PC to follow:

 

  1. Fuck everything that moves in hopes that no one will be left with enough energy to rape anyone else in the city. Rather unrealistic plan even for a dragonborn, and if someone were willing to go this route, I doubt they would need the excuse of saving the innocent from a rapist to execute the plan.
  2. User herself as bait to find and defeat the rapist. This is a more reasonable plan, but why is it the PC's problem in the first place? Did the Jarl place a bounty on the rapist? Are there other ways to identify the rapist? At what point does the PC stop the rape and defeat the rapist? A sane character would stop it once it is clear the rapist won't take no for an answer, which would still be before any sex actually happens. In which case its an ordinary mod with adult themes, rather than a sexlab mod.
  3. Join forces with the rapist. Why would the PC join forces with the rapist, rather than just doing whatever she wants to do on her own. Why risk trying to team up with someone who by all accounts just wants to abuse you? The only way this makes sense is if the rapist decides to seduce the PC into becoming his accomplice. That does sort of break the image that was built up around this character (is he a rapist or a seducer? Why does he suddenly want an accomplice when he has been so successful on his own)

 

This is why so many pornos have such weak stories. It is difficult to build a strong story reason that leads to lots of sex. When you do come up with a compelling story, it is often narrowly tailored to a specific protagonist and would result in most people choosing the "avoid quest" option as being the most appropriate for their roleplay. And people who aren't looking for a strong story to push them to sex are already well served with the mods that exist.

 

A strong, complex story mod that can pull the character into a web of sex and seduction is a big undertaking. If the resulting story will then by bypassed by 90% of the audience because the story, most modders aren't going to spend all that effort for such a small audience.

 

If you can come up with a strong, believable story that can guide a wide range of PC types into its web naturally (Not making the player say "Well response B would be in character, but I need to choose response A otherwise the quest doesn't happen"). And make it simple enough if will not take a team of modders a year of full time work to complete. Then you will have found the holy grail and I expect you will have no shortage of modders willing to help out. Until then it sounds like a lot of work with little payoff for the modders unfortunately.

What I mean by simple: as you outlined above, you basically have 5 entirely separate quests. The three different female options plus the two male options. Thats 5 independent paths, which would require the work of 5 quests to code. That is even before we consider the variations that would draw different types of characters into one of the paths. So a modder has a choice between writing 5 quests for this one mod, or producing 5 separate mods each with one simple and generic quest. Which option do you think they will choose?

 

I don't mean to discourage you, it is definitely a good thing to come up and present ideas. But before asking modders to spend weeks developing your idea into a mod, you might want to put at least that many days into developing a good idea. Tossing an bad idea out is easy. Developing a strong idea can be a lot of work, you will have better luck attracting a developer to work on idea if you have already completed that first hard step. Otherwise you are just asking "Make good mods" which the developers are going to do anyway.

Thanks a lot for your comment and suggestion, and no I'm not discouraged at all. You see I'm new here and I'm just eager to know if there are many guys who want the same kind of mod as I do. So I put this up without careful thinking. I'll try to come up with a better script according to your advice. Thank you again.

Thanks, I admit that my idea has these problems. But it's good to know that someone has the same thought as I do. I will see if I can come up with a better script...
