[Question] Custom hairs, and vanilla helmet hairs

Hi everyone. I was wondering, is it possible to have vanilla hair show up while wearing a helmet as you use custom hair mods?

 

It always irked me that my char was bald when wearing certain helmets (I'm looking at you iron helm). Sure I could go with wigs but I'd like to keep my mod count low.

 

If such a this possible, what would be the steps to take?

Unpack meshes.bsa, pick all the helmet meshes that you want to show hair, open them in nifscope and change the slot number to 42 (circlets), and then open the ck, go to both Armor Addon and Armor and change the slot for your desired helmets to 42 there as well and then save the plugin.
