casma164 Posted January 19, 2014 Posted January 19, 2014 What I'm asking about is the way light/shadows are cast on the skin. Theres a definitve "boundary" around the bicep, upper abs, under the armpit, etc. Whats causing this? Can it be fixed? mods are 7b, sg texture wet body, barbarian skin.
Guest Posted January 19, 2014 Posted January 19, 2014 With this sort of problem I usually uninstall/reinstall textures as a matter of course, might seem drastic but they do get screwed up sometimes for no obvious reason, and the only thing to do is start with a clean slate and build them back up from scratch. As crazy as this sounds, sometimes ENB can do this sort of thing . Only today I had a stupid face/body mismatch problem that seemingly erupted out of nowhere, I tore down all my textures and meshes and reinstalled them a couple of times to no avail. The very last thing I tried was to remove and reinstall all my enb files and that did the trick, no more face/body mismatch. Skyrim is like a haunted house sometimes, full of spooky goings on. Moral of the tale - leave no stone unturned.
mclericp Posted January 19, 2014 Posted January 19, 2014 i use this texture and it is perfectly fine. So it is definitely the ENB. If u are not using enb, as i cant tell by ur screenie, then i dont know. I use projectENB btw.
Uriel Posted January 19, 2014 Posted January 19, 2014 That's a known Skyrim issue, ENB just makes it more apparent. I know two solutions: 1) http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/29791 2) You can try setting [OBJECT]SubSurfaceScatteringMultiplierDay=0SubSurfaceScatteringMultiplierNight=0SubSurfaceScatteringMultiplierInterior=0 in your ENB.
casma164 Posted January 19, 2014 Author Posted January 19, 2014 Thank you for the replies. The problem was solved by using the no more ugly bronze shine mod provided by the link. I already had those settings set to 0 in the ENB.ini.
