Hello everyone, welcome friends who like PS mod and hacking, this topic discusses and posts about PS4 mod, I will also publish PS4 game mods that I have made and collected myself.

Thanks @Jocover, who made the AFR plugin for Goldhen 2.3, so that PS4 players can hook sceKernelOpen and the open function, let the program jump to the modified file, so that PS4 can achieve MOD loading without PKG.

 

Goldhen version 2.3 or above
Plugin package version 1.163 or later
AFR plugin is installed and ini settings are performed, it is not recommended to create ini settings with PS4 folder (encoding inconsistency)
By running the game and viewing the game catalog in the sandbox
Download ready-made mods or make your own
Place mods in the same way as game directories via AFR
Some games need to pack the PC mod with a PAK file and then place it

Resident Evil 4: Remastered Ada Naked

 

Integrate the front file, fix the shoulder contour to reduce the mesh + physical effect, update the front to correct the missing face map!!

Requires GoldHEN 2.3 and AFR plug-in files to be uploaded via FTP to /data/GoldHEN/AFR/CUSA33388/

I'd always wanted mods for ps4 but it never seemed to be a thing so I upgraded to ps5. However, this is a great alternative to building an expensive PC rig to play modern games. However, I feel you will need to post an extensive tutorial for how to enable ps4 for modding. As I don't know where to start.

It's nice to see you participate in the discussion of PS4 mod. As you said, creating PS4 game mods is not easy, and different game engines and unpacking and replacement tools are also different. I will share my tutorial in the future. I hope to find friends who are willing to research and produce PS4 MOD to do this together.

Model swap of tlou2 is possible, but it is difficult to remove underwear. You can create files for Blender through the knowledge tool. After removing the underwear and exporting it with Blender, it is possible to merge it with the tlou tool, but when you check it with noesis, the body color texture is covered with the paint color. Is it possible to create a normal mode using Blender by removing underwear and merging them? please.

The problem of Blender import or export, Blender plug-ins are only suitable for PC use, and it does not deny that some PS4 games do support it, such as Yakuza.

Converting to re-tex converts it to 1kb. That's cool. May I know how you did it? In my case, I think I can do it by unpacking the original pak file with the AES key, but I am unable to unpack the original pak file.

Open extract-pak.bat in Notepad and change re2_pak_names_release into the name of the .list file.   Hit the Save button.  The .bat should look like this in Notepad:

Thank you, I have retool, but I do not have the list below. This is a tool I used to work with SF5 in the past, but I stopped using it after it failed. Is it possible to apply it by converting dds to gnf and then inserting it? In this case, there are PS4 games that can be ported and there are PS4 games that cannot. For example, in the case of Idolmaster Starlet Season, it was possible to apply it by changing it to gnf and then inserting it. When I was researching sf5 for ps4, I saw a site posted on 2022.01.28 and tried to unzip the sf6 pak file again, but it couldn't be unzipped. https://gall.dcinside.com/board/view/?id=monsterhunter&no=5439994 SF6_pak_names_release.list is for PC, so it seems it was impossible to extract it from the pak file for PS4. I won't ask any more questions. For p5r, download the tools and methods and other tools I posted here https://www.loverslab.com/topic/199294-persona-5-royal-modding/, work on them, and then port them to PS4.

When I tried to copy the gmpk into Goldhen's AFR folder at the beginning of the year, the game crashed, the same thing happens with "Mask of Lunar Eclipse." You already solved that problem? since from what I understood, the texture format was different on PC and on PS4

RE engine game mod, I ported the PC mod with the help of a friend, he made a tool, this tool can convert PS4 TEX, and integrated REtool can directly package PAK.

Question: Does the AFR plugin direct all asset loading to the mod folder? Like say if you plan to install mods for a game but don't have any yet, or you only have one mod. Will the plugin check the mod folder first for mods, then load the rest of the game normally from the original CUSA folder? Or does the entire game have to be in the AFR folder.

That's right, it will only load the files that you have put in it (the mod) from the AFR folder. The other files are read from the game.
