Any way to make NPCs/Inactives/Sex Guests increase relationships levels?

So I've turned up autonomy levels to let NPCs on a lot engage in sex with Sims they are attracted to. However, I tend to play multiple houses on rotation and very often those characters will have no relationship meter, memory, or notebook entry that they had sex with someone. Some of them might even have several kids together and yet have no idea who each other are.

 

A feature like this was something I enjoyed in Kinky World for Sims 3 - random sex partners were easy to track without a bunch of searching or manual editing. Is this something that Sims 4/Wicked Whims can't handle?
