3rd person camera with weapon drawn - how to center (is nac-x to blame?)

Recommended Posts

In the fallout4.ini under camera I have entered the following:

My understanding is that the camera should now remain centered even when the weapon is drawn.

However, I also use NAC-X and there is also a camera setting for the 3rd person. I have a suspicion that Nac-X overwrites the values in fallout4.ini and I don't know how to disable them or where the values are for it.

Scrolling further out works, but the zero values for the camera positions in combat and melee are ignored.

In any case, the back and forth when pulling and holstering the weapon is quite annoying. Any help is welcome.

I found a solution for myself. Installed E3PC - Enhanced 3rd Person Camera, in the fallout4custom.ini

fVanityModeMaxDist=400.0000
fPitchZoomOutMaxDist=400.0000
fMinCurrentZoom=0.1500
bApplyCameraNodeAnimations=0

in [Camera] entered. After that, once for each mode (fight, sneak) went into the edit mode of the mod without changing the switches (all were on 0). Now it looks as desired.
If anyone else has an idea without having to install an additional mod, then they're welcome. Otherwise I'm satisfied.

PS: However, the setting does not seem to last permanently, so that the edit mode is always required. So a permanent fix is still welcome.
