The most infuriating and bizzare issue I have ever encountered in The Elder Scrolls 5 Skyrim (SSE V1.6.640.0.8)

Note this is a wordy post that is probably not worth reading in its entirety unless you have the free time and care to do so. Skip to the next bold text for the summary and relevant info only.

 

For some background the very first game I ever modded was Fallout 3 for PC circa 2008 (followed immediately by Minecraft woo) so my history with modding bethesda games goes back far enough that I have literally hundreds of different modded installations under my belt yet the issue I am encountering currently is so bafflingly random that I just don't know what to say.

 

Overall the game looks and runs fantastic with my settings, ENB, oodles of texture packs and lightweight overall mod load (in terms of new content) however script mods and my character's appearance of all things are driving my up the wall. 

 

Summary of Issues:

1. Upon entering an interior, different world, or exterior cell there is a 50-75% chance that all scripts will stop working at once and not restart unless a prior save is loaded.

2. When this happens if the game is closed entirely and relaunched my characters face goes from image 1 to Image 2

3. I have not been able to discover the trigger for this other than it happens when changing cell. Doesn't matter what cell just anytime I go from one to another there is a chance of this happening.

4. When I say scripts stop working I mean it. Even the fish stop swimming and the bugs stop flying. Quests, character interactions, and human and creature NPCs all work normally however.

What I Know Face Issue:

I tried making a different character with a non custom race (this one is using this Succubus race https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/80089) and the face issue persists so I don't think it is specifically tied to the race.

When I open race menu after the issue occurs parts of it are missing. The Bodypaint, Handpaint, feetpaint, genitals and several other tabs are simply not populated. I can restore the character's appearance by going into the hair and each face makeup texture and cycling the color and texture back and forth once on any slider or to any other texture. What appears to be happening specifically with the makeup textures is the game is loading the default order textures instead of the selected ones.

 

 

Again this issue only affects the appearance of the player character and seems to occur for every race and is irrelevant to whatever preset is used if at all.

I am using High Poly heads for the first time so that may well be a contributing factor but since it occurs simultaneously with the scripting issue i suspect the scripting problem is the root cause.

 

What I know of the script issue:

Things known to be affected: Bugs, Fish, All Sexlab and associated plugins, modded quests (Maybe).

I know it is triggered on loading a cell and that whatever the issue is its getting tied in with the savegame and requires a reload and luck to continue. 

Once a save was flagged as corrupted but I think its probable this was caused by me removing Prison Overhaul (couldn't get it to load correctly and thought It may be responsible.

 

Below is my modlist and plugin load order. To answer the inevitable questions when they come up:
OVR11 is a folder that holds all my built bodyslide meshes so I can better keep track of where they are it doesnt do anything else.

Masterpatch.esp is a merged patch that needs to be remade since I removed some mods it saw as masters. It is not presently loaded and should not matter.

At this point I don't even know where to start since this is so far removed from any Issue I have ever experienced before.

 

At this point my best theory is that I have too many script heavy mods installed and Papyrus is taking a shit but that still feels like it wouldn't cause this bizzare issue. Anyway I'd love to hear if anyone here has any thoughts on the matter.

 

OH and I know this usually caused by bad weight painting but I have tried every single 3BA vanilla armor converter on the nexus and my hands are still looking like this:

So if anyone knows why through multiple game versions and three separate clean installs that this hand weight painting issue persists I'd love to hear it.
