Distant Worlds 2 (like stellaris)

Any cool mods for Distant Worlds 2 yet?
its similar to Stellaris, only theres none of that fixed line routes between sectors

~ fly where you like in open space.

 

also has exploration discovery events (ruins, abandoned ships), pirates, spies that can actually be captured and held hostage. eg.

 

Graphics-wise they also have animations for the leaders, spies, ambassadors etc. which is what led to some interesting mods on this site.

 

Even if there's no skilled digital artists to edit races, at least the events can be modded.

I do also like DW2 very much because they have scuttled the old star-route system, atleast for now. It would make sense to have some kind of buildable stargate system for easier pathing of the civilian traffic and also to be able to build them without warpdrive to save space, but that can wait until they get the game generally to good shape.

 

I would very much like some mods too, especially ones that would give more room on the slot side. Perhaps some lewd mods too... ;)
