I haven't encountered an issue like that, but if I were you I would use tmc bone tool.

try this:

1 open tmc bone tool

2 load your mod in the tmc data section

3 load an ingame costume from the same character in the bone data section

4 check the ''collision'' box

5 in the option ''keep bone relation'' check in ''absolute''

6 in preset change to ''base bone''

7 save and test if the issue was fixed

 

if this doesn't fix the issue, then it's beyond me.
