so does the sl kidnap mod..... but it allows anyone you help be kidnapped as well as ... well this mod has issues

Define kidnap. Defeat has that "put in sack" option where you carry them away which is shockingly useful in non rape situations. It also had the added benefit of kidnapping bandits too. If you want to stick someone in a sack, then have them tied up where ever, then defeat is the best option. 

Like if you do a loot of enchanting, and don't want to wander around skyrim looking for bandits for black souls, you just keep a few locked away in the basement for when you get a black soul gem. Or you can rape them. It would be nice to have some mods that let you do alchemy experiments on them, but those don't exist. 

Now, if you are looking for ransoms, then defeat won't be the mod for you.
