Can anyone please help me with porting hair? :(

Hello, I've been looking everywhere and tried messaging other modders but it seems as there is no tutorial for hair modding, I've been trying my best for the past month porting hairs into doa5 but they just end up getting funky looking like this:

Each time I try to import it into the Polygon Insert tool then I open it in object tool, it makes me choose 4 textures when I only need 1 texture but i don't how to change that. Can anyone help me please :classic_sad:

You have several options

 

One is create a vertex group with just one UV in the lower box of Object tool and then create a new subobject and assing that vertext group

You can also import an object from another TMC file that already has a single UV and use it

Or use an already existing hair file and replace it with yours

Finally you can juest select a 0123 text type, put your texture in the first, a blank normal texture in the second (just that plain purple bluish) and a black texture in 3th and 4th, those 3 images could be as small as 2x2

tysm for replying, the thing is when I open the ported xps tmcmesh file in polygon insert tool. it only lets me choose slots that have 4 textures. Even if I change all the texture UVs to 1 in the tmc object tool, nothing would appear in the polygon insert tool drop-down menu.
