Upper & Lower body poorly "connected" during sex animations

This seems to have occurred since the last Sims 4 patch. Mainly referring to female bodies: they look perfectly fine in CAS and whenever they happen to walk around nude but during sex animation (especially obvious during cowgirl), it's as if I'm using completely different mods (I'm not) because the upper and lower body don't "line up" at all. A lot of jagged, disconnected body parts. I've tried both the EVE7 and Better Body pack with identical results. I made sure to try them separately (remove one folder from MODs and try the other) and that they were the first mods to load when the game starts. Not sure how else to troubleshoot this.

appears it's not only during animations. here is a screenshot of the guy and girl sitting on a bed afterwards, which shows the "disconnect". Any help is appreciated.
