So I'm trying to raise a hat up off the head a little so the hair doesn't poke through the top of the hat.  I was wondering if I could use nifscope and raise on the z axis and save it that way.  No worky.  Seems now when I try and load the game with mod enabled it crashes the game.  

 

Is there another way to go about this.  I'd appreciate the help very much. :)

Import it with blender, click the hat and go to edit mode.

Select everything (A) then move it up. You can bring up the transform menu by clicking N if you have a specific value in mind.
