Sexlab Defeat Saved My Quest - emergent gameplay

So I had Helgen Reborn running.  Those familiar with the quest may remember chap called Reinhardt who had a habit of disappearing right when you need to speak to him to complete a subquest and advance the story. Without it, the story stalls and you'll never finish. I went thru several saves before I realized what was happening.

 

In short, you have to fight 6 guys in an underground arena, get paid 6 times, and report back to Reinhardt. Well when this bug hits, Reinhardt disappears - quest marker and all - right after the final payment so you can never talk to him.

 

I finally solved it by using Sexlab Defeat to tie him up, put him in a sack and keep him on my person before I go get paid, then released him to have the dialogue and complete the storyline.

 

Actually a great gaming moment when you think about it. I used the mechanics of one mod to solve the scripting of another - the game devs, two modders and one player all collaborated unwittingly to solve a problem that would never have happened if they hadn't all come together at that moment.
