lexus Posted November 24, 2012 Posted November 24, 2012 So i wanted to create a new mesh for the ratchet omniwrench i'm doing but i can't get it right, i'm using the wrench as a irndagger replacer . How do you create a specific texture for that?
ThatGuyJonus Posted November 25, 2012 Posted November 25, 2012 two ways, one is make a texture set in the ck for the item, and two is making a new mesh (copying works) that changes the texture path to the new texture in question.
lexus Posted November 25, 2012 Author Posted November 25, 2012 so basicly i use the predetermined ones from ck or i have to try out the regions vor the textures to find which area affects which one
ThatGuyJonus Posted November 25, 2012 Posted November 25, 2012 well the mesh file for the object itself has the texture path imbedded in its data, and can be changed with the tool nifskope. A texture set is a field in the ck that allows you to redirect the texture path to a new location so you dont have to adjust any properties in the mesh itself. Either one of those will allow you to change its appearance, but will require additional work if you want to set it up to be a non replacer.
